I think getting Spags for their DC is a great step in that direction.
They better secure homefield throughout the playoffs then. Zero playoff wins on the road as a franchise.

Sounds very likely to me, I really thought the Saints or Packers would win the Super Bowl this year. The damn Giants came out of nowhere to win it again.

Saints lost on the road past 2 years but they weren't blowout losses or anything. Close games and the defense had a meltdown in the 4th quarter.

I can't hate on the Giants winning this time. They earned it.

Not a bad group of teams the Giants beat in their last two Super Bowls.

2011 - Combined record of playoff opponents (51-13)
vs. New England (13-3)
@ San Francisco (13-3)
@ Green Bay (15-1)
vs. Atlanta (10-6)

2007 - Combined record of playoff opponents (51-13)
vs. New England (16-0)
@ Green Bay (13-3)
@ Dallas (13-3)
@ Tampa Bay (9-7)

They beat one 16-0 team, one 15-1 team and four 13-3 teams. Five wins were on the road, two in neutral sites and only one at home. Kinda crazy the team won two Super Bowls yet only hosted one playoff game.

Amazing indeed!

Told you a few weeks ago in the NFL playoffs that anything can happen, (when you gave the Giants no chance at beating the Falcons, let alone the Packers) Too lazy to look it up and quote my self....

Super Bowl 2012 is in New Orleans and in 2013 it's in New Jersey. I'd say there's a decent chance of a home team making the Super Bowl one of those seasons. Especially so in 2013 considering the Jets and Giants both play there.

Just imagine if the NFL were like college football. If that were the case we'd just get Green Bay vs. San Fran, New England or New Orleans (whichever team the BCS says is #2) in the Super Bowl with no playoff whatsoever. Just a championship game and nothing else.

And college football wonders why it trails far behind the NFL in terms of popularity.

Wow. Am I reading this right?!?!? Are there some actual COMPLIMENTS for the Giants?!?! Let me rub my eyes and check again!

From all the Giants/Eli hate I've been reading on this post over the last few weeks, I didn't think I would every read a compliment. But it's like the Giants said, and how they play. They don't need everyone to believe in them as long as they believe in themselves.

Eli may not be a HOF QB just yet (give him a few more years), but I guarantee that if he can have a few more years (statistically) like the one he had, and come through in the clutch like he has, he will make more and more people bELIevers. 2 rings/SB MVPs is the start...pad those stats and he's a lock.

Is he as good of a pure QB as his brother? No. Love me my Giants, but Peyton is a surgeon. But Eli is as cool as they come, and I think that SF game proved that he NEVER gets rattled. He's confident in himself, and he passes that confidence on to his young receiving core. He put on an absolute clinic last night, the windows he fit some of those throws into were absolutely ridiculous.

Wearing my Giants blue VERY proudly today! Can't wait for the Blu-Ray to be released on March 6! GO BLUE!!

Better than nothing, I guess. Usually it's just the hate for Eli. But like I said, Giants fans (for the most part) love the guy. Like a lot of players, he can frustrate you, but it is kind of nice to know I'm never going to wake up and read the headline about him getting a DUI, a domestic battery charge, being a "baby daddy", or electrocuting dogs. He just seems to be a real humble guy who's blessed with talent and he knows how lucky he is.

The Giants defense gave up 16.25 ppg in '07 playoffs and 13.5 ppg in '11 playoffs. A lot of QB's can win playoffs games when their defense does that. But Eli has played well so does deserves some praise.

I guess montana deserves some praise too I guess.

After his first superbowl where his defense gave up 24 ppg,

Superbowl 2: 8.67 ppg
Superbowl 3: 9.33 ppg
Superbowl 4: 8.67 ppg

I will give all the props in the world to the Giants. They deserved it and should be proud. And thats coming from a Pats/Cowboys fan. But I still think Peyton is better then Eli.

I want that G-men sweater that Michael Strahan and some of the Giants players are wearing at the celebration at city hall.
