Cap number, his behavior, he was just causing too many headaches. This could also mean Philbin doesn't need/want a diva #1 WR who constantly ask for the ball, and rather spread the offense among a bunch of receivers.

You're right about that. I'm a fanatical football fan, but even I am amazed at how NFL and NCAA football destroy all other sports in terms of interest level and attention in this country. It's such a money making machine, and I love every second of it.

Alleged punching victim says she wants Marshall 'held criminally accountable'

The 24-year-old woman who alleges new Chicago Bear Brandon Marshall punched her in the face early hours Sunday outside at Manhattan night club is a former basketball player at San Diego State University and has retained a high-profile attorney.

According to the statement, Myles said Marshall “hauled back and punched her in the face, hitting her eye and caused her to be violently thrown to the ground.”

Who knows more solidifying the offensive line, and stability in the system he may improve even more.

That's crazy. No one even knows if he'll even be like his former self. It'd be an awful shame if he under performs with whatever team he signs with. I like to see NFL legends go out while still playing good ball. (IE: Not like Favre, Namath, etc.) I'm not saying he can't still be a great quarterback, but no one knows how well he's going to be.

That's entirely too much unless a BIG chunk of that is non-guaranteed money. Manning would be around 40 by the time that deal ended. Even the Saints aren't wanting to give a healthy and younger (33) Drew Brees as much as Peyton is asking for.

Redskins signed franchise player Fred Davis to a one-year, $5.446 million contract.
If Davis builds on his breakout 2011 and stays out of trouble, he'll be in for a much bigger payday next offseason. The lone playmaker in Mike Shanahan's offense last season, Davis can expect week-to-week inconsistency with a rookie under center in 2012. Still just 26, Davis does provide 1,000-yard upside in Dynasty leagues, however. Although Chris Cooley remains on the roster, Davis will be the primary pass-catching tight end.

Hard to find 2 more ineffective, near-worthless players in NFC-N than CB C. Griffin and S B. Meriweather. Redskins signed them both. Wow.

That's pretty dicey I'd say, rookie QBs tend to have trouble seeing tight ends in the middle of the field. Guessing they'll split Davis out wide a lot to make it easier for Griffin to see him.

I agree, I still think at least in Merriweather's case he'd rather have his personal stats and cost the team a game then get 1 key tackle and win the game. But maybe he's learned his talents will only take him so far
