It's actually quite logical. From a Colt to a Bronco. Seems he's quite the horse enthusiast when it comes to football.

The term you want is HOLY HORSE!

PS: Gutted that the NFL handed down a coaching death penalty like that.

Plus remember how Elway became a Bronco? By refusing to be a Colt and demanding a trade on draft day. Ironically that's the same think Peyton's brother Eli did to the Chargers.

Warren Sapp said on Twitter that Jeremy Shockey is the one that ratted the Saints out to the league. Shockey has denied he told the league about the bounty program, has offered to take a polygraph and says he didn't have any knowledge of the bounty program. Shockey is a free agent and was already struggling to find a team, so even if he wasn't the whistle blower the mere suspicion that he may have ratted out his old team could keep him from finding a team willing to sign him.

HBO has to get the jets now to do hard knocks again.

It would be the jets admitting tebow was partially/mostly a publicity stunt but the jets are crazy enough to still do it if you give them enough $$.

Apparently the 49ers were interested in bringing in restricted free agent WR Mike Wallace but decided against it after finding out Wallace wants a contract that exceeds Larry Fitzgerald's 8-year, $120 million deal. Wallace is good but no team is going to pay that much and give up a first round pick for Wallace. The only reason Fitzgerald (and Calvin Johnson) got that much is because they had such high cap numbers their team pretty much had to sign them to a lucrative extension to get them to a more reasonable cap number or cut them.

If I were Wallace I'd have a reasonable asking price because there's a good chance he'll get franchised after this season (and no team would consider giving up 2 first round picks for him) so he's potentially looking at making $13 million over the next 2 years and there's significant injury risk. The Steelers have never signed their receivers to lucrative extensions and they may deem Antonio Brown (a restricted free agent in 2013) as more the valuable receiver so Wallace should be trying to get out while his value is at it's highest. Even with the signing of Brandon Lloyd I'd still love for the Patriots to sign Wallace but not with those contract demands.

I guess it's too late for Tebow on mentor Cromartie on how to avoid ending up with an army of kids spread across the country.

Just a theory, but maybe he really doesn't wanna leave the Steelers, so he gave ridiculous contract demands that nobody would offer. I think the Steelers are prepared to move on though. Maybe they franchise him next year, but I don't see him signing long term unless he takes less money to stay. I would guess he would get somewhere around $35-40 miliion guaranteed assuming he keeps his game at the same level. Calvin Johnson got $60 million and Vincent Jackson got $26 million this offseason.

Mike Wallace is a very good receiver, he just doesn't have the full package that guys like Calvin Johnson, Larry Fitzgerald, and Andre Johnson have. He is not worth the same amount of money.

Bears agreed to terms with RB Michael Bush on a four-year, $14 million contract.
This should expedite Marion Barber's release, a move that would free up $1.7 million in cap space. Bush's addition also gives the Bears significant leverage in contract talks with unsigned franchise player Matt Forte. Even if Forte threatens a holdout, the Bears can sit comfortably with a starting-caliber back under contract, and Kahlil Bell at No. 2 on the depth chart. Bush isn't a dynamic runner, but he's got quick feet for his size and is a bull to bring down. He's also an adept receiver and pass blocker. Bush's addition may cut into Forte's 2012 fantasy value. He's definitely a candidate for short-yardage and goal-line work.

How many kids is he up to now? Or has he learned the art of birth control?

I wouldn't give Welker a big deal anymore, he seems to be only getting worse with the drops.

Wes Welker is a 1B and they will have to get another RB and sign the two stud tight ends, well at least one of them, to a big contract. I see Welker getting a 2nd or 3rd tier contract, especially due to his age.

He gets a ton of targets so naturally his drops go up. Unfortunately that big one in the super bowl will stay with him forever.

Im calling it now. Bret Farve comes out of retirement... to coach the New Orlean Saints. Super Bowl XLVII will be a show down between Coach Favre's Saints and the AFC champs, Tim Tebow lead - NY Jets. And as if that wasnt enough, Super Bowl XLVII will be played, in outer space.

From everything I've read the Patriots have no intention of signing another running back. It sounds like Belichick is confident going with Woodhead, Stevan Ridley, and Shane Vereen, who barely played last year. If they do add another running back it will be someone cheap. I doubt they're going to try and sign either Gronk or Aaron Hernandez to an extension until after next season because they're both under contract through 2014.

As for Welker I really don't know if they'll sign him to an extension. From the sounds of it they want to give Welker a 3-year deal and Welker wants a 5-year deal. Welker is going to be 31 when the season starts and there are worries about his durability due to his size. I could see the Patriots having Welker playing out the season under the franchise tag and then letting him go if they think Julian Edelman or Anthony Gonzalez or a free agent can take his place.

If I'm the Saints I put aside my pride and push hard to get a new long-term deal done with Brees. With everything that's transpired this week they're going to need to lean on him more than ever this upcoming season. He'll be their de-facto offensive coordinator. At the very least locking up Brees gives the fan base something positive from this offseason.

He has at least 9 in total. And even making millions in the NFL he's having trouble supporting them.

Franchise player Matt Forte expressed frustration with the Bears' Thursday signing of Michael Bush.
"There's only so many times a man that has done everything he's been asked to do can be disrespected!" Forte wrote on his Twitter account. "Guess the good guys do finish last." Added Forte's agent, "To sign yet another running back, prior to completing a contract with Matt suggests disregard for Matt and his contribution to the Bears." Forte may end up skipping offseason workouts and holding out of training camp in protest.
