The more I hear about the penalties levied against the Redskins and Cowboys the more pissed off I get about it.

It was spear-headed by an owner's committee, a committee which Jerry Jones is a member of, but he heard nothing about the fact that they were making this decision. I understand not letting him vote, but not letting him comment?

And the leader of said Committee? Mara, owner of the Giants. Oh yes, he is clearly impartial when it comes to the Redskins and Cowboys.

I seriously hope the arbitrator just smacks the NFL (and thus these owners) upside the head for being stupid.

I'm sure plenty of fans laugh and say ha-ha. But what they fail to realize is if they can hit us like this, whats going to stop them from coming after someone else's team later.

It's simple, don't do something that the leagues has specifically asked you not to do. It didn't work for the Cowboys and Redskins. It didn't work for the Patriots. You're talking about three of the most influential teams and owners in the NFL.

People are going to say that this isn't like the "spygate" thing, but from the league's perspective it's very similar. The league gave a directive and the teams which were penalized ignored that directive.

Just make sure you read all your Memos, even the ones on the TPS reports.

See, this is the problem. The league _didn't_ give a directive. And, in fact, they approved the contracts they are penalizing now.

If not for the committee and Mara, there would be no penalties.

This is flat out owner collusion, which is illegal.

Yes it is, although to be honest the contract we're getting hit for wasn't the best idea to begin with, Austin's contract is poorly done. Double whammy there.

I did not expect Baltimore to get a 4th and a 5th. This replaces the 4th round pick lost in the Lee Evans trade and adds a second 5th rounder.

Also note that these picks cannot be traded.

Yeah, every contract needs league approval. This thing sounds like nonsense.

Tim Tebow press conference
He went to to the Bill Belichick school of media relations. Talking a lot but ultimately saying nothing

Oh man I can't wait for the NY media circus to get going next season.

So Timmy what's it like to play in the same stadium as a team that's won 4 championships and a QB that's won 2 himself? Also what's it like to play practically down the street from 3 time champion Tom Brady?

I see what's going on here. Rex Ryan saw his Jets becoming second fiddle after the Giants won the SB. Now everyone will be talking about him and his Jets again instead of the Giants.

The NFL announced the full seven-round 2012 NFL draft order

So we pick back to back in the 3rd round(#9 and #10), thanks to the Marshall trade. I wish we could trade down in the first round and maybe add a 2nd rounder. 5 picks out of the first 73 would be pretty neat. Drafting in the 20's in the first round would be more suitable for what we need(QB, WR).

A lot of people expect the Dolphins to take Tannehill at 8, I think it would be better to trade down (or even out of the first round) for stockpiles and get him in the second. I'm fairly certain he'll still be there.

I'm really interested to see how much more Rob can improve our horrible 2010 defense now that he has -
Brandon Carr
An entire off-season to work with the defense on his plays
Hopefully most of the draft to upgrade the front seven
I think we could have a top 10 defense next year with the right moves, possibly top 5.
