I'll bet he doesn't actually go to class anyway. This stuff always happens. When I was in high school there were quite a few athletes who were technically in my class even though I never actually saw them and somehow they still made passing grades so they could play football. One of them was William Bartee, who actually ended up making it to the NFL.

As far as college goes just look at the usual majors for athletes headed towards the pros. They go for something like Liberal Studies, General Studies or Communications. It's amusing to watch some of these players on TV who can't speak one sentence of understandable English, then you find out they're about to get a degree in communications.

I feel bad for Vilma being the 1 player whose name is always brought up in the scandal and could easily be the only player punished for something that many other players were/are a part of.

With the sheer amount of evidence they have in that scandal I doubt Vilma will be alone. I'm sure many suspensions will result. Isn't Vilma only mentioned because he was the one who injured Favre in the big game?

I thought it was because he was the one who offered the bounty in that game. I feel bad for the Saints in general because they had to be the team that got caught when it probably could have happened to a lot of teams.

Yeah. Many other former players have come forward and admitted that they existed when they were in the league. I think Troy Aikman even tweeted a pic where someone in the crowd had a poster that said "Bounty Bowl." While I disagree with bounties on players, I do think harsh penalties are necessary to stop them. It's just unfortunate that the Saints had to be the team.

The Saints were evidently the only team stupid enough to be warned by the commissioner to stop it and kept allowing it.

Also, why now? I mean, previous commissioners must have known that they were part of the game. I think the punishments being dealt now are directly because of the concussion lawsuits with previous players.

Jonathan Vilma is being mentioned because he's a big piece of sh*t who's been doing this stuff forever. He was one of the players at U of Miami that was taking cheap shots on other players to collect the bounty. His name was the first name I thought of when the Saints bounty scandal came out. I wasnt surprised.

ESPN 1500 Twin Cities confirms the Vikings did approach Bill Parcells, but it "didn't happen recently" and the sides are no longer talking.
NFL Network's Jason LaCanfora confirms Parcells to the Vikes "won't be happening." Owner Zygi Wilf has been a fan of the Big Tuna dating back to the dominant 1980s Giants squads, but the rebuilding Vikings have little appeal to a 71-year-old coach. The Saints are "still in the mix," confirms LaCanfora. The original New York Post report screams of a leverage ploy by Parcells to squeeze more money out of New Orleans.

It's all just posturing to get a new contract, at least Eli Manning has 2 rings that agree with him.

Eli Manning is actually a great QB Who is also clutch at the moment where it is needed the most.
