Ah, Cowboys fans make me laugh. You should look into the history of every NFL team and investigate their bounties, too. Good luck with that.

I know most teams have had bounties, not sure why you're laughing at me but whatever. Just because most Cowboys fans are ignorant about football doesn't mean I am.

CSNPhilly.com Ray Didinger has "thought all along" the Eagles would draft a defensive tackle at No. 15.
Defensive tackle is an obvious need for the Eagles and we know coach Andy Reid isn't afraid to spend a first-round pick on the position, having done it three times since 2000. An elite prospect at the position would immediately join a rotation with Cullen Jenkins and Mike Patterson. Evan Silva of Pro Football Talk has the Eagles taking Mississippi State DT Fletcher Cox with No. 15 in his most recent mock draft.

I would be ecstatic if we take this kid at 14, he would immediately upgrade our entire front seven, maybe we would even finally see Spencer play like the 1st round pick he is and not just be a solid player.

It's not because they didn't have a bounty program. It's just that they're so horrible nobody ever won the money!

J/K. In all seriousness I wouldnt be surprised if the Redskins had a bounty. They were pretty notorious for a while about putting players out of games.

Stupid Cowlishaw thinks we'll be taking a QB early next year but I think it's too soon. Romo probably has 3-4, maybe 5 years left in his prime, especially if we can improve his offensive line and stay healthy at RB. We're also set at back-up QB, probably for at least 3 seasons, the earliest I could see us taking a QB in the 1st 3 rounds is 2013, when Romo is 34 and his career is beginning to wind down. I think people are forgetting he may be a 7 year veteran but he's really only played the equivalent of just over 5 seasons so he doesn't have that much wear and tear on him yet.
2006 6-5
2007 13-4
2008 7-6
2009 12-6
2010 1-5
2011 8-8
47-34, not time to throw the baby out with the bathwater yet, I think.

Maybe we should pull "a colts".

Tank the season so we can draft heisman trophy winner matt barkley with the #1 pick in next years draft.

I don't know what the Cowboys think of Stephen McGee, but if they don't think he could ever be their full-time starter then I don't think it's too early for the Cowboys to draft a QB in the second or third round. If they drafted a QB like Osweiler or Cousins in the third round then he could sit behind Romo and Orton for a year or 2 and learn the offense and then if Romo stays healthy and effective he could become the backup and be ready if they need him. The Patriots drafted Kevin O'Connell in the third round in 2008 despite Brady only being 31 because they wanted to have someone younger that they could groom to potentially become the starter as Brady got older. Unfortunately O'Connell turned out to be terrible.

And now they got Ryan Mallet who looked good in the pre-season (I know, PRE-season) to take over when Brady eventually falls.

Per Chris Mortensen's Twitter account:

Quote:
Bill Parcells is certain to remain retired and not serve as the Saints' interim head coach, per sources. More coming on ESPN.
On a lot of things I don't trust Mort, but with Parcells being an ESPN employee I think it's very likely that Mort's source on this was Parcells.

Vitt should be the HC - would "only" miss weeks 1-6 but ok for all else.

I heard on the radio a couple weeks ago that if Parcells didn't take the job then offensive line coach Aaron Kromer was the favorite for the job. I heard they didn't want Vitt to be the coach because of the suspension and because they didn't want someone associated with the scandal to be the interim coach. I also heard they didn't want to promote a coordinator because they wanted the coordinators to stay focused on their current jobs, and in reality the interim coach's job is mainly going to be running meetings with the coordinators mainly in charge of the offense and defense.

Edit: Just heard Peter King say on the Dan Patrick Show that he's hearing Kromer is the favorite for the interim job. He said they looked into Tony Dungy, Bill Cowher, and Jon Gruden but none of them were interested.

Thats why I wanted Tebow to go there. I won't be shocked if they swap Mallet out and have success, like GB did with Rodgers/Favre.

The Philadelphia Daily News believes Eagles CB Asante Samuel will "almost certainly" be traded before the end of April.
If the Eagles are going to trade Samuel, it would make the most sense to do so before the draft, but everything is contingent on finding a taker. With Samuel currently due a combined $21.3 million the next two seasons, takers will be few and far between unless he's willing to restructure. His release remains as likely as a trade.
Source - http://www.philly.com/philly/sports/...not-wrong.html
I'd be all for bringing in Samuel for the right price, would be good insurance against losing Jenkins in FA.

It sounds like Joe Vitt is going to get the Saints interim coaching job. Adam Schefter, John Clayton, and Pro Football Talk's Mike Florio are all saying that it sounds like Vitt will become the coach up until the start of the season and then someone else will take over during Vitt's suspension.

The Dallas Morning News believes QB Stephen McGee's development has been "stunted."
It was obvious that the Cowboys had lost faith in McGee when they tried to claim Kyle Orton off waivers in October and subsequently signed the veteran to a high-end backup contract in March. McGee and Rudy Carpenter will reprise their 2009 camp battle for the No. 3 QB gig this summer.

Well that's 2 picks in a row(I believe) from Texas A & M by us that turned out to be duds, well done Cowboys.
