Not really...Wes Welker is asking for alot money and the Patriots won't pay whats he's worth. And as good as he is if the Colts do trade a #1 pick for him let's say. The Patriots i'm sure would be willing to let him go especially since they have a crowded receiving core anyway. If they do trade there best receiver it's obvious they had no intention of giving him the money contract he's been seeking.

Thatwould be stupid for the Pats to let Welker go but I wouldnt be surprised either. The Pats are loaded right now and knowing coach Belicheck he would take a number 1 pick from the Colts.

To me a trade for Welker doesn't make sense for either team. Like I said it doesn't make sense for the Patriots to trade their leading receiver when they are a serious Super Bowl contender. The trade doesn't make sense for the Colts because Welker can't sign a long-term deal until after the season so after the season the Colts would risk losing him for nothing or having to franchise him at roughly $12 million. I wouldn't have been shocked if the Patriots had traded Welker in the offseason (and replaced him with Rams receiver Danny Amendola, who was a restricted free agent), but I don't see them trading him now.

Also, the original report of a Welker trade was started by a Twitter account with 235 followers, and no legit media outlets have picked up the rumor. The original report is over 12 hours old and I'm sure the Patriots and Colts beat reporters have gone to their team sources to find out if there's any truth to the rumor and would be reporting it if the report had any validity.

Still unsure on RG3, my guess at best he'll be philip rivers couple nice seasons but quite forgettable and surly not worth what they've given up. I bet the rams are jumping with joy, They could seriously get a #1 pick outta this deal.
