What is this C Model I keep hearing about? The B is the same as the E and G but no soundbar and no 3D correct? I am still leaning on getting an E.

It's the curved 2016 model, it includes 3D

Entry level is the B6 then C6 then E6 then flagship is G6.

Thank you, Thank you! Might have found a winner. $5k msrp for a 65". Would I be insane to assume I can buy one for $4k sometime soon?

I don't know what discounts are like on your side of the pond, but with the Olympics coming up (or any major sporting event) we usually get discounts on TVs.

I'm holding on until August to see what reductions we get.

The 65" B6 is $4k as of very few days ago.

The 65" C6 is around $4.5k.

B6 and C6 should be the same price, they cost and list the same in both sizes.

Why would anyone pay the same and getting one less feature (3D)

LG developed the 4 new 2106 OLED series so folks can choose the one that fits their needs best. Some folks don't care much about 3D and would prefer a flat panel. Then you have the higher-end "Picture on Glass" E6 and G6 series.

Only the B6 series does not support 3D.

I must admit, I am starting to get particularly attached to the curved Oled panel. I think it has to do with the fact that the curve is not as pronounced as-say-Samsung curved LED.
I honestly look forward to first-hand reviews on the C6P because:
1) Does not come with a sound bar
2) 3D ready
3) Curved panel
4) Most affordable among new line

For those who don't need slightly premium sound, don't care about the aesthetics of the picture-on-glass design, and want a flat panel with 3D support, they have to make some tough choices.

I was sold on the c6 till last night. I saw some random video on youtube. Someone was reviewing it and mentioned that the e6 picture quality is a bit better than the b and c. If that's the case, since I am spending this much money. Might as well save up a little more and get the e6 rather than regret it later.

Well I haven't looked deep into the technical aspects of all the models. I figured there was more than the soundbar and picture on glass that justified the cost of the e and g.

I dont believe it for one second. As Robert of VE said, each model was designed to suit certain needs and personal preferences (3D vs 2D, curved vs flat, soundbar vs no soundbar, picture-on-glass design or not)...Nothing to do with PQ quality as they all share the same Oled technology.
But hey, some say they would prefer a LED Vizio P over a reference LG Oled model, so go figure

Well that makes my decision so much easier then. Such a shame I am so far from Robert. I'd like to make this purchase with knowledgeable folks who care about this industry. Rather than BestBuy who just dumps LG new OLEDS into the dark corner and plays what looks like DVD quality samples.

Placebo effect! I don't see anything in the specs that would give the E6 an edge in PQ. LG has already stated that PQ is the same. It might have a slight edge in color gamut though. Where is the C6 video, couldn't find it?

It's youtube...what do you expect? LOL
I honestly dont buy it unless a LG Oled veteran of trust comes in here and showes me some real numbers...Also we should never try to compare PQs pre-calibration
