I've switched to 55EF9500. Just installed yesterday
Does anyone have some good picture settings for Standard viewing? I watch mostly blus during day/night.
I tried some "expert" settings I've found online but didn't like the unnatural colors.. Also, any particular movie/scene to test if there are any issues with the panel?

Given both the E6 and C6 are out now....given the recent drama over the Soc chip...what a lot of us would like to know if there's any actaul picture quality differences between the more expensive and cheaper models...

any chance of testing this please ?

We'll be doing that ^^ once the E6 break-in is completed.

This does not address the rumors that there are different chipsets, nor, if so, what the effects of such might be besides sound. Do you have any information on that question? Thanks.

Just what I posted.

1.) LGE USA tells me their is no discernible difference in the G6 and E6 in regard to picture performance and...

2.) We'll be evaluating, testing, measuring and comparing our store demo G6 vs. our E6 and we'll get back with our findings in a few weeks. The E6 needs a 200+ hr break-in before calibrating and evaluating properly.

Stand by for more information, but at this moment my educated guess is they are most likely identical in picture quality.

E6 is available in 55" at $3,999 and 65" for $5,999.

The G6 is available in 65" $7,999. All three are available now, but supply is very limited.

A 77" G6 is scheduled to launch Q4 '16.

Prices are; Manufacturer's Suggested Prices.

I havent been following the thread too much, but whats the main difference from the G6 and E6. is PQ that much different? is it only the sound bar that makes the price difference? I hear the E6 can't be hung on the wall, is that true or just incorrect info on my part?

thanks in advance

You've got mine put aside, correct????

Saw the 55E6 today at Best Buy. It's a piece of art even without being turned on.

Since G and E probably have same PQ I'm more interested in how B and C compares. Small things like curved screen, passive 3D on one but how is the PQ?

Probably not, though rumors say that the G6 might have a beefier CPU than the E6 which could result in faster menu browsing.

All 2016 OLED TVs can be wall mounted.

Robert,

Thanks for the update. Have you seen any of this Green Tint with off-angle viewing on any of the G6's or E6's you've had in store? There are some pics on AVS in the last page of the owner's thread.

Thanks!

This i doubt they'll be any difference between the actual Picture quality of G/E models.....it's the B/C models that need comparing to either G/E models to see if all models are equal in picture quality imho :]

Thanks everyone for your questions and comments! This is a good place to find out the latest, most accurate information on 2016 TVs.

I can't answer on pq comparison of the C6, E6 and G6 that are all on display in our showroom now. All 2016 TVs deliver a stunning new picture performance never seen before, the new HDR TV system and the premium TVs that can best render the best accuracy and detail.

I don't see any color shift, however, my critical viewing time watching our new TV wall is mostly viewed straight on.

Every year we advance digital display technology, but today's 2016 premium series from all of the manufacturers' HDR Digital video display line-up perform beautifully. This year they have catapulted the visual experience like a bull frog on steroids for the final point of the HDR delivery system.

Since February we've been assembling all of the new premium TVs. It's been a delight as we wall mount and set-up a new premium series display on our TV Shootout walls. We've been enjoying watching all of the TVs in high and low light with varied content across the wall.

Complicated study with many elements.

I received my G6 late this morning (an exchange for my EF9500 with LG.) I've only spent a few minutes with it thus far, as I had to rush back to work, but my initial impressions were all immensely positive. Can't wait to really start breaking it in this evening!

UPS delivered my Sammy K8500 just minutes before the truck showed up with the TV, so it's going to be a fun weekend.

Hi Robert,

Is David still coming in this week to work on the C6 and E6? I'm anxious to see some performance numbers on them.

Also, is the $1,000 off pricing for the E6 and C6 ending on 4/30?
