If LG feels they can get a good response it has a chance to be reinstated at their discretion. We're adding value by including the UBD-K8500 4K BD player at no charge.

So being a LG authorized Nationwide on line dealer I can't change my website until the clock strikes midnight on the east coast. So I'm staying up a little late tonight. Glad it's the weekend.

I understand that even with the lowest price promotion we're seeing now a 2016 4K OLED is still priced high and many folks will not take the plunge. But shipping is no problem. Consider the tens of thousands of TV the Amazon ships and even our small company has shipped thousands of TV and it's a very rarely occasion to see any damage.

We build custom pallets and strap the TV onto the custom skid to help ensure safe transportation.

Just too much trouble to unpack and repack a broken set. I would rather pay more and buy local. I am waiting for a 60" at around $4k without all the probs and banding this tech seems to have at this time. Having a perfect working 60VT60 that i only put around 400 hours a year on also is keeping me from buying. Guess if my Panny blew up today i would be buying a OLED the same day.

When i buy a new set i expect two guys to bring it in unpack it and let me hook it up and give a it whirl.

So far I have had three TV's shipped from Value Electronics: a 65" plasma, 78" LED and a 55" OLED. All arrived well protected without one problem. The carrier threated each set carefully, brought it into my home and waited until I opened the box and inspected the TV for any damage.

I have no problem having a TV shipped by a retailer that truly cares.

What the heck are you talking about? Four quick release pulls on the TV's box, the box cover is raised up and TV inspected for shipping damage.

BUT this is only after having V.E's quality control break in and inspection to make sure there wasn't any problems with the set before shipping to begin with.

This is the only way I buy TVs now. I don't want to buy a set, pick it up at the store, discover (over a few days) that the set has problems, box it back up and get it back to the store. I rather have a respected company break it in for me and watch for all the flaws before shipping. If flaws are found, another set is brought into the mix.

So far, I have has three sets shipped and not one has had the problems that seem to pop up on TVs.

That's what I have been saying. I have never had one screwed upped when QC's by V.E.

But going to Tampa, Florida does sound like fun.

With dynamic contrast I agree. The other settings which are standard in Cinema mode are beyond subtle. Sharpness at 10, super resolution low and edge enhancer on are not even remotely excessive. This is a soft set especially compared to my VT60 plasma. Throwing up a sharpness pattern will show no ringing or excess noise.

I don't trust any shipping. After having a $1200 pellet gun broke at the neck of the stock, that did it for me. Looked like UPS ran it over with a train.

That's because you have screen shift turned on. In the picture menu, click on OLED panel settings. Turn Screen shift off. This feature helps protect against BI by gradually shifting picture up and down and left to right.

Dynamic contrast with HDR adds punch. Dynamic contrast with SDR crushes blacks. It does not do that with HDR.

Just another showroom gimmick. Every time I play around with those enhancers they may seem eye-catching at first, but once I get into watching a movie they get quite annoying and distracting, making the picture look more like that of a music video rather than a feature film

My local Frys had a crazy sale and I was able to order the LG 65EF9500 for $2996 (it's $4500 everywhere else I've checked that's actually reputable). I'm SO excited to get my hands on this thing. Upgrading from a several-years-old LG 60" Plasma. So I'll soon be a part of the club!!

How many of you did adopt Oled WebOs3 for streaming over any other streaming device you might have used previously?
I feel that WebOs3 offers the best streaming quality. I was previously using a Roku 2 but now that is rarely being used occasionally only for those streaming channels not available on WebOs3

I also had a 55" E6 shipped to me from Value Electronics. It came on a pallet with no issues. Unboxing it was simple.

Haven't had much time to fully explore the settings yet, but it is beautiful.

Does anyone that has an E6 in here ever use the TV speakers? If so, have you experimented with the different sound modes (standard, sports, etc) of turning 3D sound on?
