The E series looks much nicer if you like to have an ugly soundbar stuck on the bottom edge of the panel and ruin the elegant design of these Oled TVs...Not to mention the extra $1000 that you are paying for a soundbar you probably dont even need

Of course you're going to say this you own a C and have stated numerous times on multiple threads. $1000 isn't just for the soundbar lets be honest now. The E and G series are better models than the C and B and thats a fact, not putting down the C and B just stating the obvious

I was in this boat not too long ago and ended up getting an E6. 3D was a must for me, and having never owned a curved TV before, I didn't know what to think. So the E was really the only option for me.

After reading many many reviews, it appears the more expensive units are a bit brighter and can be calibrated just a bit more preciously.

Everyone who's seen my TV has been blown away by how thin it is. And they say that my TV looks like it cost me $5k. Where as the B and C just look like any other TV.

I've read on many forums, including the avs forums about the problems with the 65" E models. But to be honest, I think it's just folks looking for trouble. I have not had any issues viewing normal content on my TV and I don't plan on running slides to find any issues. I am very happy with it and once I seek out problems, I will kill myself focusing on it.

It's all down to whether you want to pay extra to not have a curve.

In addition the E6 is more likely to have banding and vignetting issues, according to current owners. The C6 has had minimal complaints for inconsistencies whereas the E6, especially 65" has had many uniformity complaints. Although at the end of the day it's a Panel lottery so you may get lucky.
This is kind of scary to think of because my EF9500 was horrible as far as vignetting and especially banding. I already worked something out with Best Buy/LG to where they are replacing with an E6. I wouldn't have minded the C6 and don't need the soundbar on the E6, but for the price difference, I would prefer to have the flat screen because that's what I am used to.

Also, a lot of the reviews online are saying that the E6 has DRASTICALLY improved with banding and LG made it so the sides are brighter so vignetting should be very minimal so I don't think I can go wrong with the E6 over something like the C6. If it came down to it, I would have gotten the C6, but given the circumstances, I should be happy with the E6.

As another member mentioned above, I'm not going to go looking for problems unless they reveal their ugly head in actual content and not just on slides. I had a few EF9500s that had pink and yellow blotches on a white screen and THAT was VERY noticeable on regular content.. If I get an E6 with minimal vignetting and banding and no yellow or pink staining on a white image, then it will be "perfect" enough for me.

I NEEDED 3D though because 3D on OLED is better than IMAX in my opinion.

Like I said, I haven't noticed anything on mine. And my TV's an earlier build compared to the supposedly better newer builds. I think you'll be very happy with it. I am still blown away by how black these TVs get. I recently saw maybe 30min of some sandler film. Even in gorgeous dolby vision thats all I could stand. The scene where the boat blows up at night, WOW. I was blown away at how black it was and how much pop the explosion had.

As for 3D, I have never seen better 3D! This def turned even the Mrs, who hated 3D on my samsung led into a 3D lover.

Once you go OLED, you can NEVER go back to LED. I have one of the newer LEDs from Vizio with the Tablet remote in my bedroom and it is not even close to my defective EF9500 viewing experience. I would choose watching my defective OLED over a good LED any day now. The 3D is truly amazing and the pitch black is impressive. I am so excited to get the E6, it should ship in the next few days! I have to get a standard wall mount for it since my EF9500 LG mount is incompatible but that's okay . I'm glad you're enjoying yours! I will definitely update when I get it and post impressions compared to my EF9500!

Even my G6 has a band that shows up with the right luminance/color/camera panning combination. I'm just cursed to see these things or really unlucky (third G6). That said, it's shocking how much better the uniformity is over its predecessor (EF9500) that I ditched for it. I'd only recommend the curved panel if your seating position is consistently centrally 6 to 7 feet away.

It really is very impressive. Keep us updated!

Quick question for all lg oled owners. I was messing with setting last night. Got them to where I want them. Turned my TV off, turned it on this morning and all my custom settings are gone. They've gone back to how they were before I started messing last night. What am I doing wrong? Why aren't they saving?

Try and set dynamic contrast on medium, wide gamut, sharpness 20, color temp W36, color 45 to 50

so true man, The E and G series looks so much nicer than the B and C models, there really is no comparison when they are side by side. I stopped in bestbuy today again to look at the E, so worth the extra 1000 for me, its just a beautifully made TV to look at even when its not even on

I dont like the soundbar, it throws off the otherwise elegant design of LG Oled

I am not a fan of a built in sound bar nor built in side speakers either....

Soundbar would be fine as a bonus feature and if it was detachable. It seems strange that so many new owners opt for the E6 rather than the C6 simply because they dont like the curved shape of the C6. So tehy are paying $1000 more for a soundbar they dont even like and most likely will never use

yes..you can buy a really good sound bar..assuming you like them..and place it where and how it works best. Being built in removes this option and if it isn't good you can end up with 2, one you bought separately and the irremovable built in bar. I do have to admit it does look kool so i understand why some opt for it.
