That's very true now that I think about it. Like we will see artifacts on the stream that aren't really on the blu ray at all. Makes sense for sure. Now I might need to invest in some tv shows like Gotham instead of streaming them. More $$$ lol. The reason why I didn't want to do that is because I don't ever rewatch tv shows like I do movies.

I'm really looking forward to this tv though. I finally got it mounted with LGs new wall mount for it. It looks very promising compared to my EF9500 I had. You can't unsee that kind of banding or vignetting. It scarred my tv/ movie watching for sure.

keep in mind that Oled TVs are very efficient are exposing every single weakness of lower bitrate, heavily compressed streaming content because of the high contrast that these panels offer. The good stuff will look REALLY good, but the bad stuff can look REALLY bad

Thanks buddy. I also sit pretty close (probably 10ft from it). I will probably end up getting some of these TV shows on blu-ray to make this easier as well.

These are high contrast TVs, so poor quality content will be majorly exposed. These Oled really shines with blurays, not cable TV or digital streaming.
By the way, who the heck would want to have CEC enabled in their DVD/BD player? It is a nightmare!

4K streaming (not bit-starved) looks rather impressive actually.

I'm hearing that Dolby Vision AND Dolby Atmos will not work via ARC. Does anyone know if it would work if an optical cable is connected from the OLED to an Atmos capable receiver?

Thanks, just trying to avoid purchasing a Roku which at the moment seems the only way to get HDR and Atmos on an OLED.

It's PHENOMENAL and MUCH MUCH better than the 65EF9500 I had! I can't wait to watch it more. I've only watched a few shows so far and 1 movie. I'll update again in a few weeks. I'm currently trying to get my picture settings panned out, especially brightness.

By the way, this might be just theory, but some owners claim that by disabling all enhancements, it relieves the processor of some of the load, which in turn will improve motion, with lesss stutter

I actually hate my 55EG9100 now. The banding takes me out of anything I watch, even though it only happens in closer to black or certain grayish content.

Where do you guys usually set Oled Light? I feel like sometimes it feels too bright and then at otehr times it feels too low, so I keep moving it up and down all the time, which gets on my wife's nerve LOL

Each display is different so just set it in between. Make sure brightness isn't too high. If you watch in bright and dark room then you'll need two presets. Otherwise don't be afraid of a darker display. Often it's meant to be like that.

Sometimes I feel like it's too dim and other times like it's too bright...Not sure if it is me, depending on how tired I am at certain times of teh day or night. But I keep fiddling around with it. What one day seems blidly bright looks too dim the next LOL
But on average, where do you guys have it set? Above or below 50? I see people going as low as 28 claiming that it is plenty bright, yet LG default settings range from 80 to 100!

I had my B6 at 30 but have since bumped it to 40. I recalibrated with a calibration disc and contrast was still the same. Did not have to adjust. 40 vs. 30 gives it a bit more brightness that my eyes like.

I think my oled light is set at 80. And I think that's a bit dim sometimes.
