Default Something I've always wondered about the Star Wars Holiday Special

Why do the TIE Fighters fire green lasers at the Millennium Falcon, and the Falcon fires red lasers back? Shouldn't it be the other way around, since the Imperial Empire is known for always using red lasers; even red lightsabers.

It's the one thing about the movie that makes no sense.

Because in the Vietnam War US forces used red tracer rounds while the Vietcong used green.

I don't have an answer and get where your coming from but ....

I'm curious as to why it bothers you only in the Holiday Special
But not any of the other Star Wars features
