Latino Review is reporting that, after watching an early cut of Star Wars: Episode 7, Disney and Abrams have begun early talks about the director returning for Star Wars: Episode 9, to close out the new trilogy. Whether Abrams wants to actually return remains to be seen.

I wonder if he'll be able to bear shooting in England again? Or maybe he'll come back only if they can make it in sunny LA.

Interesting. I'll have to see both Episode VII and VIII before I decide whether I'd rather see Abrams or Johnson return to direct IX though, right now it's hard to say who'll do the better job with their Star Wars film.
