I put less than $150 mill, it'll come close, but it'll be hindered by bad weather and I think a lot of families who aren't so hyped will wait until after Christmas, but it will continue making money through the beginning of the new year.

I'm going to say it'll do $250, the hype for this is insane - not to mention the increased amount of showings/3D etc.

$217M in the U.S. between Thursday night and Sunday. Anything under $200M would be labeled a pretty big disappointment.

Keep in mind that Revenge of the Sith had a $50 million opening day. Back before 3D, less theaters, and coming off a weak entry in the series (Clones). This should have no issue clearing $200, but you have to wonder how high can it go, especially since December has a history of good but not great opening weekend #s.

Valid point about bad weather. What if a blizzard were to hit? That would surely effect box office results. Families stuck in their homes.

The haul in the uk will be huge.....why?.....all of the cinemas are charging a premium the likes of which I have never seen. The local cinemas to me are charging a £1.50 levy if you see the film before January, others are not offering family or children rates, just pure adult charges across the board. This alone will push it far beyond anything that has come before it. My personal hope is that it finally topples that godawful ferngully blue person tripe.

I think it'll be anywhere between $150M and $200M, as said above the holidays and the weather could conspire against it. If it does end up doing something stupid like $250M then the mind boggles at what it could've done at the height of the summer season.

It'll be the biggest December opening weekend by far though, that isn't in doubt.

It'll do gangbusters, and if it's good or great, then I see Avengers or Jurassic World numbers, or better. So, I'll guess $200M plus opening weekend.
