Also, you can just manually do the backups yourself for the Game Saves. Though the copyrighted ones will not be saved unless you do the Full Backup. |

I was backing it all up to a 1GB USB drive and it gave me the option for only one back up which was the full one. Don't have the space for that. I'm going to have to use something else.

My drive is not ejecting properly. It tries to eject and gets stuck, sometimes making a really clicky noise. Holding the eject button forced it out but now its a common occurrence.
This is the first time i've had a console problem in 20 years and I don't like it ![]() |

If you don't plan to fix your PS3 you should really back up your drive just in case something happens to it. Definitely might come in handy if you plan to buy another one or slim.

No... I would lose RB stuff, and alot of games.. pretty sure since i gameshare, i'd lose all those games unless i went into each account and killed myself from it, and then redid it.. its quite difficult to explain.. but i haven't tried it.. no do I hope that I have to..

I believe that's correct anyway. So before doing the backup, delete all the demos and saved game data for games you no longer have. Also delete any music/movies/photos you have on there. Then try it again. I guarantee you'll need way less than 42gb |

So I came home from eating with the folks. I walk in and turn on my Playstation to watch a movie. I usually do that when I come home from running, biking, playing b-ball, eating,.. whatever. So I'm used to hearing my old 60gig start up. Instead, it beeps on, than beeps three times off. I look, and it's just blinking red.
![]() So what are my options? My Ps3 was a backwards compatible 60gig fatty. I won't fix it myself because I'd rather let people who do it for a living do it. I could trade it in at the devil's Gamestop for $120. Then pay $200 more for a slim. Can I sell it dead like this? How do I get my game out of the system? What are my options away from fixing it myself? Thanks guys. I'm a sad guy tonight. The Ol' Lady won't be happy if I buy a slim tomorrow. ![]() |
