Same! Seeing the movie is the most excitement obviously but seeing what covers it gets is close.

This is probably the last release I'll go crazy on, I've been cutting down and not being as into buying multiple copies of movies recently, but I gotta do it for this. So I'll be keeping a close eye on what Target has and definitely a steelbook as well, not to mention other releases.

Same here. I'm at least triple dipping this one. If Blu-fans was still releasing Marvel steelbooks, I'd definitely get the complete deluxe set for Black Widow.

We'll have plenty of images before release anyway.

Black Widow's my most favorite Avenger and this is her only solo movie. Unless the art is really bad (which I don't think it will be), I'm nabbing at least all the domestic 4K releases.

Disney steelbooks will always go to Best Buy. Much easier to get a healthy amount of stock into 900 stores vs 6,000 Walmarts or Targets.

Other companies are stopping making their steelbooks exclusive to Best Buy, so maybe Disney will do the same.

On catalog releases where each store is only getting 1 or 2 copies maybe. Not on blockbuster releases like this where getting just 10 in each store would require them to print 75,000 copies. No one is committing to that in these iffy days of physical media. Disney would rather give each stores their own exclusive anyway.

I think so. Except Black Panther. I just hoped the next wave of films we're getting would be in native 4K. It's no biggie.

Black Panther had a 2K DCP but was 4K finished yes.

which is an even crazier thing, they have it all done at 4k and then they downscale before handing over to theaters, absurd

I guess that explains why it didn't seem to have any extra detail compared to typical when I saw it in the theater.
