Lol I don’t know why but I really thought it was coming out Oct 10. I could have sworn I saw that date once and it got burned into my brain. Damn it and oh well, just one more week. Hopefully more details will surface by then.

I really need to see those specs and how the discs are held in that VHS sized box.

It happens. I confused Spiderman: Homecoming with Baby Driver's release date. Too much stuff coming out this month

I’m hoping it’s a nice digipak.

Most of Warner Brother's TV Shows on DVD are putting 22 episodes on 3 discs, even with extras. I'm not seeing any issue with 8 episodes on 2 discs.

The standard going all the way back to the glory days of DVD and now Blu-ray is 4 episodes per disc (dual-layer with lossless audio). That is and has always been the conservative standard. (Of course if lossy audio is used instead the episode count is generally more like 6 episodes per disc.) I own 847 Blu-ray discs that contain TV episodes and the vast majority of them have 4 episodes per disc. For those interested feel free to hit up the link to my Blu-ray collection in my forum signature. (Not mobile device friendly.) Once at my website select the "Television" category from the drop-down in the top left corner. I call out the episode counts per disc within the "Overview" and "Disc Details" sections of each profile. Speaks for itself.

Personally I tend to favor 13 episode TV seasons rather than the larger 22-25 episode count TV seasons. For me the 13 episodes per season format hits the sweet spot. Always results in a more engaging and focused experience for me per season. Without exception those Blu-ray releases are 3 discs with an episode breakdown of 4/5/4 per disc. As for 3 episodes per disc, I see this more often with very low episode count TV seasons. I own a few TV seasons that are only 6 episodes each, 3 episodes per disc. It's also common to see a 3 episode disc here and there with larger episode count TV seasons where special features are offered and spread out across the discs rather than being consolidated on the last disc of the set. I also own a number of TV seasons that as a standard contain 5-6 episodes per disc. Warner releases in particular will do this. Have yet to be left wanting more truth be told and I'm projecting these TV episodes at 120" diagonal.

That being said, the gold standard is clearly 4 episodes per disc (...with lossless audio) and that's what we'll more than likely see with this release considering it's a 2-disc release, 8 episodes total. Bottom line, nothing to worry about here my Blu-ray.com friends. It's all good. There'll be plenty of room for these episodes to breathe and far more breathing room than you'll ever get with any streaming version of this TV show from Netflix.

The point of having a good OP is to have all available information in the first post, because no one ever wants to read through the entire thread, and if they don't see the information in the first post, they'll ask it. Gathering all information (or non-information as the case may be) in the first post really cuts down on people asking the same questions repeatedly in the thread. But in my time here on this forum so far, it seems very few people care about keeping OPs up to date with good information. (And the Blu-ray.com database entry page is definitely no replacement for a thread's OP, since there's usually a lot of info that comes up in discussions that is outside the spec fields of the database.)

I held it in my hands! My Target had these out a week early. Of course there was a big fuss when I tried to buy it and I left empty handed but it was cool to see! The packaging is a little bizarre. Not quite VHS sized but not quite DVD or blu-ray sized. About 1.5" thick and felt pretty hollow. Will still be picking up next week!

Yeah sadly Target's system is set up that if you try to buy something early it won't let the scanner ring up the item at all. so that is sad....

but hey you had it in your hand and confirmed it for the naysayers and NICE picture!
