One of the pictures of the set clearly shows two blu-rays and two DVDs. The picture with the tape is showing two blu-rays; they both have the "A-B-C" region coding on them, and those labels only apply to blu-rays. The description on the right-hand side of the page is probably just an instance of poor wording.

There's even a sticker on one of the pictures that you can click on (at Target.com) that confirms this.
I'm sure it will come with 2 and 2. Target played the singular game in their description and with the photos as well. Guess we'll find put tomorrow

Today several items went back up early for the 2nd Wave.

If the last minute bugs you, then you need to lock in during the 1st round of pre-orders. BBY has a preorder price guarantee and you should have a chance to cancel if a better offer shows up elsewhere.
That may be the case for most, but the spiderman legacy 4k has been a major headache since June. Change of release dates (june to oct), price changes, refunds, store pick up switch to ship only, etc. I've been buying exclusives from both target and bestbuy for 15 years and it's been going down hill for the last 2 years with weird things happening like this. Not to mention target not pulling online orders even though you get the "ready" email. And also pulling the standard version because they only read the movie title and not the SKU. Maybe it's just my store, but what's the use of online orders if they can't do it right. Not to mention shipping issues. I could have a steelbook ship from the UK and arrive pristine, but target will ship and arrive mangled on 9 different occasions. I don't get it.

Do we have a number check on this? Do i have to wake up at 7:30 to get to target at opening or can i roll in at 10am and grab it?!

Edit... right on, i scrolled a bit... so they should have a ton and a nice 10am stroll in should work!

Eh, you may wanna get up for this. Chances are there won't be enough to go around. Just like the DC animated flicks. May be only 6 exclusives and then just regular stock on the standard.. If you really want it, I wouldn't risk the extra sleepy time.

Check back within the hour or so maybe. When they activate their Black Friday deals, for example, it's normally around the same time Best Buy begins their live online deals.

Wow that's a lot of merch:

https://www.target.com/c/stranger-things/-/N-s5c9y

Cool lunchboxes. LOL at the "friends don't lie" fleece throw!

The Stranger Things backpack with patches is pretty awesome too. Shame it's available on 10/19 instead of 10/17. You'd think with all the preparation that they put into this that they would launch everything on the same day to maximize impulse buys when people arrive to pick up the Blu-ray.

Back of the box was one of the very first images posted. It doesn't list any special features. Given that the discs also show no special features, I think it's now safe to say there are none. (No need to quote the entire post. Going to become tedious real fast if everyone quotes the packaging images.)

Orange Is the New Black has features on them, as does House of Cards, so not all Netflix TV show releases are barebones.

EDIT: But I just saw Brandon's post above with the pics. If none are listed, it's probably safe to say there are none. Sadness.

Something else to note, seeing the actual discs - as suspected, no ABC on the discs, since that mockup was incredibly bad (it looked like paper labels). But that doesn't mean it's not region free. Just that it might not be after all.

Ah, but Stranger Things is a ... um, er ... strange animal in that Netflix is the financial studio backer as well as the distribution arm.

Some of the other shows you mentioned are only distributed via broadcast by Netflix, but are produced and created by other studios, such as Sony, and they handle the disc releases.

We're very lucky we got what we got.

Thank you!

That's the VHS case that folds open? Are the DVDs on the left side? Would love to see another picture that more clearly shows the case layout / quality. Looks to be a custom plastic case of some type, which is awesome.

Target charges $24.99 to ship one blu-ray to Canada. Ugh.

It looks like I will be needing to buy proper twin-disc Amaray type Blu-ray cases as I could care less about the DVD's. This container's actual functionality, while interesting on the outside from a nostalgic standpoint, looks like some real flimsy sh-t.
