There were about 15-20 copies at my local Target. The detail on this thing is amazing. I'll be surprised if it doesn't sell out quickly and go out of print. I bought two and am keeping one sealed.

Despite the lack of special features, this is probably the best blu-ray packaging I've seen in a long long time. I love the weight of it and the paper quality is very nice. It actually reminds me of those oversized VHS cases video stores would carry for stuff like Transformers.
TBH, I didn't expect a blu-ray release given it's a Netflix original, so happy this happened at all. |

They could have used the 2 DVD's in the packaging and made it 2 Special Features discs. Of course on BD.

Packaging aside $25 for 8 episodes isn't a good deal in my book. Plus $25 is the msrp as seen on the in store price tags. With stores having 200+ copies there's no reason to think it won't go on sale, and a Black Friday deal is a possibility. If stock gets low and there's no price change I'll pick it up, otherwise I'm waiting

Picked it up first thing this AM. My store had 20-30. Agree with the above comments on the packaging. Fantastic!
While “only” 8 episodes, it’s the best thing I’ve seen this year. $25 for 7+ hrs of high quality/rewatchable entertainment is worth every cent. A big reason physical media is dying is we feel entitled to getting everything at the highest quality possible for almost nothing. It’s unsustainable on the business side. |

I really like the magnetized side holding the box closed on the side. Reminds me of the TOUFAAN Limited Edition boxsets that have been released over the years. Hands down some of the nicest dvd/bluray releases out there.
I also have to admit that I love that the correct side flips up (same as the old VHS tapes). Nice touch. |

![]() 1. Great packaging. 2. Poster (if you care about such things). 3. 397 minutes of content (average movie is 120 minutes). 4. A FANTASTIC show. 5. A store exclusive - which means they COULD charge whatever they want. Not sure what you're expecting...6½ hours of amazing programming in what by all accounts is a great-looking and sounding presentation...for what? $15? It's been said many times, but bears repeating: expectations like this are why physical media is dying. |

That's about $16, plus the extra $9 difference for the special packaging, which in this case is completely different from anything released domestically in some time. Sure it could be on sale in the not-so-far future, but when you break it all down, it's a totally reasonable price, especially taking packaging into consideration. Just imagine if they added bonus features, it would've been a steal. |

Same, though a few more copies, way they were displayed looked like they got around 30. Looks like around maybe 10 of 15 stores within 200 miles received stock. On impulse I also bought two. I'll likely open one to check it out but I honestly don't see popping the discs in unless the internet is out, not when I can watch them in 4k with HDR.
