Picked mine up this morning and my local target had a lot out front and in the back. What a awesome package for this show, now i just hope when they release season two that it will be the same vhs looking package.

Default Resume feature included.

For anyone wondering, the Blu-ray's do include a resume feature. No bookmarks required. I deplore BD-J's. Thumbs up on including the resume feature though.

Wal-Mart has had this available for $4.99 for a few months now. I actually bought it to rewatch 'Warriors of the Wasteland'...

Nice, I would actually buy it at that price. I think I've only seen like one or two of them.

She doesn't drop character until the DVD commentary. And since there isn't one on this release, she continues to play the character.

It just amazes me to see people griping about it when I recall how comparatively little we used to get for FAR more money. There's no arrogance inherent in my pointing all of this out.
That's a fine and dandy thing to say to appeal to blu ray snobs like us. But production has changed. It is much cheaper to manufacture optical discs. Distribution among retail stores is more efficient and costs less. More people are buying shows than they did 20 years ago. Increased competition among the many numerous shows available also drives prices down.

I kind of feel the same way because like you, I remember how much shows used to cost on single VHS tapes and single DVD volumes. That's why most of us are so enthusiastic about collecting BDs in the first place; we see exceptional quality and value. It's easy to sit there and say how great we have it. But times have changed.

I can remember shelling out ~$100 for VHS when it first hit shelves.

This release is a tremendous deal.
then you could say the same thing about any and every blu ray release. They are all not tremendous values, sorry. Times have changed and it's time to adjust your perspective. A streaming service like Netflix would have been unthinkable just twenty years ago.

If you ask me it's actually a difficult time to be spending anything more than $10 on most BD movies, or even $20 on TV show seasons. Steelbooks have also gotten to be way too expensive. They should be $17-18 new releases at Best Buy like they used to be. It's hard to justify spending this money on HD BDs when 4K has already arrived. 4K is also too damn expensive at this point. I believe we're just at a lull in the cycle and it's a bad time to be buying movies in general, for a couple years. (unless it's something that obviously isn't going to 4k anytime. like Anime, and many niche shows).

Closest Target is 45 min away so I had to order online. Hopefully it arrives in good condition. Never watched the show since I live out on the middle of nowhere and my internet sucks.

I guess I'm not getting your point. On what do we disagree? I totally agree times have changed. I just think people tend to forget what times WERE.

Back when I was a youngster we had to walk to the store uphill both ways in 4 feet of snow to get our $100 VHS tapes.

Sure, just like there wasn’t streaming 20 years ago.
Just like there weren’t as many channels 20 years ago.
Just there weren’t as many channels airing original content 20 years ago.
Every argument can be spun.
