I'll be honest the difference is miniscule even zoomed in 200%, and the color tint difference is larger than the difference in grain. It is doubtful in a blind test I'd be able to say one is better than the other. Probably not worth the upgrade if you have Mi4k version.

Mike's right about the colour, though it's the Mi4K which looks redder to me than the UHD looks greener, if you take my meaning. (And this comes from viewing and comparing both discs, not just a couple of caps.) |

@dvdmike
I made a post similar to this one a couple of days ago which to this day is pending moderator approval so if that post does eventually show up please ignore it. Thank you for sharing these screenshots ![]() |

I understand that these are comparisons between the blu and the uhd. What I'm saying is that the blu and uhd appear equally blurry where the image transitions to the black bar. The transition to the black bar should have zero blur in a native resolution image. I'm just asking if you will upload a 4k uhd image with the black bars included. If it's too much trouble and you'd rather not that's fine. I was just curious.

So, I thought I'd share a fun little custom project that I'm working on.
As I'm sure many of you well know, the Ghostbusters video game that came out in 2009, story wise, was effectively Ghostbusters III. I'm planning to take a video of all of the cinema scenes and key game play footage, which is effectively as close as you can get to having the game in "movie" form, and burn it to a BD-R and possibly a DVD-r just to make my own combo pack out of it. I've been working on cover art for it. My main intent is to have it match up with the 4K release covers of the first two films. I've made two versions. One being a simple black background version akin to the UK releases. The other being based on the look of the US releases. When I eventually print these up, I may use the black background version for the actual case and try to make the other cover into a custom slipcover. These are WIP. I don't intend to keep the "4k Ultra HD" wording on it since there won't be a 4K disc. That's just there temporarily for now. ![]() ![]() |

Nice to see the price drop to $19 on this and GB 2. It's hard for me to justify paying more than $20 for a catalog movie so this price will work (although I did buy a number of $30 catalog movies at launch and during the first few weeks, just to get my feet wet).
