The Resident Evil and Underworld 4k boxes were quite differently from each other, aside from the actual outer box.

The Resident Evil box, each film had its own cardboard "case" with plastic hubs/backings glued inside to hold the discs. The Underworld box contained each movie in its own standard amaray case, complete with slipcovers for each title.

If the US set is the same digibook packaging as the Resident Evil set then that's slightly disappointing, from the initial look at the US layout I was hoping for those black covers to be slips over regular cases just like on the Underworld and Karate Kid collections. And after looking at the new art for GB I & II on the foreign releases of this GB box I gotta say that I kinda dig them, Afterlife looks like mince on the other hand but you can't have it all. It would've been awesome to have those keepcases with those sleek black slips over the top.

Still, it's not like I'm gonna cancel my £76 US order or anything, I'm not paying £130 for the UK set just to get some betterer cases

I still doubt these will be some thin cardboard cases for each discs... If we look at the listings on amazon.it or de, they clearly show standard amaray cases that fits in there. And Sony is not going to do different outer boxes for US and Europe. It should be same as Columbia boxset - I feel that EU will have standard wide three disc cases, while US will have them with slipcovers.

Thought so when the first flimsy pics showed up already.

I think I'll cancel this again, since the packaging is the horror and is actually getting worse by the minute. The set is kinda silly in general as well IMO, not only because of the omission of 2016, but also because I do expect an Afterlife sequel - actually read one becoming more likely only the other day. They should've just made this a 1+2 set instead IMHO. I'm actually only still on the fence, because I'm not sure, if I should risk missing out on the bonus discs completely or not...

The box set is worth it for one thing and one thing alone.

19- count ‘em! 19! Ghostbusters 2 deleted scenes. 26 total.

Will we finally see the infamous Ray possessed by Vigo driving scene?
All of the many Slimer Vs Louis sequences(complete with finished effects from Industrial Light & Magic?)
The Eugene Levy cameo as Louis’s cousin Sherman
The “Frog Ghost” subway sequence
Slimer flying out of the Statue of Liberty and at the camera?
The full ghost jogger sequence?
Etc etc

February 1st can’t get here soon enough!

And the search for proper English keep cases continues anyway.

It was available at 85€, than sold-out.

Anyway the amazon Italy promo images has the wrong colors for the discs. I hope it's just a mistake

So is it confirmed that US and EU release will have different covers? I like those with the 3 different logos, but I don't like the art of the eu ones. I guess I have to deal with it since I buy it on Amazon italy

Hmmm i'm really concerned over the u.k release of this set, no date, specs or product image. My main worry is like the 35th anniversary set Sony may just put the original 4K/bds in and not the new discs.

Considering the price they are charging for the U.K. set they must be the new discs otherwise it will be even bigger own goal than it already is.

But the digipaks in the Resi set are each the same spine width as an 11mm keepcase, so bang goes that theory that these can’t be digis if the outer box is the same everywhere.

If they had a reputation of cancelling/not fulfilling preorders due to use of promo code (something they widely offer) then more people would know about it because it would be prevelant.

As for taking payment, I used my bank card and they money was taken right away.. As does PayPal orders so that should be irrelevant

I imported the first two for the original art, but now they put the stereo tracks on these. There has been way too many instances of double dipping on 4K for me. I told myself these 4K discs would be the last copies I would ever need to buy.

Doing it for better encodes, better soundtracks. I guess if it is Sony and doesn't have the original track, I should just hold off.

They never charge my credit card right away. I only see a pending charge right away that will disappear again. Credit card gets charged when they ship. They only charge right away with PayPal.

And as I said: They didn't deliver a limited item once when I used a coupon and ordered before others without coupon who received theirs. That's all I'm saying - nothing more, nothing less. (And I wouldn't be surprised at all, if the software works exactly like this: IF (capital letters) there are more orders than can be fulfilled, cancel those orders that bring less money first. I can literally see the program code.)
