Yes, plus quite a few new ones exclusive to this set.

I missed all the pre-order links (and that Best Buy one looks kinda questionable), and I'm wondering if I should plan on hitting up Target/Best Buy/Walmart stores first thing on release day ?
If it were just the discs, like the Resident Evil and Underworld sets, I would say it's probably going to stick around. However, the book and the lights make me think it's going to be a one-off.

The listing is barren but it does have the correct UPC listed on it, so it's definitely for this gift set.

Yea, I went ahead and pre-ordered from BB. But I ordered two just in case that might upgrade them to ship in a box instead of a plastic envelope where it would be crushed during transit. Here's hoping...

Pre-ordered the collectors set from Best Buy as well since it popped up. I feel $80 would be a more digestible price point but since I don't own any of these in 4k and there's lots of exclusive material and the full book...I think it's worth supporting the effort that was put into the package and support the physical media of bluray! It may be a rather limited set so better to have it and have no regrets! Just hope the packaging/quality of the ghost trap is decent and not flimsy.

Is it normal that Zia Records didn't charge my debit card for pre-ordering the GHOSTBUSTERS: Reitmanses (Father & Son) Trilogy at all? Never ordered from them before and wonder if Zia Records only charges for the item prior to shipping. Item is out of stock/unable to pre-order there but my pre-order for this set two days ago is still there in my orders. For $77.59, it's a nice price, even before selling the prior 4K releases and all the digital codes from this.

Still going to keep:

Not accurate I know but I would feel like I have been personally robbed if someone cleaned out my account, on the other hand if they get access to my credit card and make some charges then no big loss as it will be blocked and those charges wiped in short order so never ever ever use my debit card for anything other than the few rare times I need to withdraw cash, everything else goes on the credit card.
I have been through both of these experiences and I do not keep my debit card on file for anything I don't have to anymore.

A few years ago, a fraudulent transaction occurred on my ebay account while I was at work and the only reason I even knew about it is because my ebay app notified me the item had shipped. there was no record of it in my purchase history and it was being delivered to my address for some reason. Had I not seen the ebay app alert, I wouldn't have known until I logged in to my bank account to pay bills. It was some super expensive microphone which is something I don't really know anything about and I had never even seen one like this before. I contacted the seller and had him halt the delivery so that it did not come to my address in case someone was waiting for it there. It ended up draining my entire checking account and dipped into my savings because of the overdraft protection. I wasn't nearly in as stable a financial situation at the time as I am now so I had to borrow money from a friend for a week just to be able to pay bills and eat.

I did end up getting my money back but it was a drawn out process and it was MUCH, MUCH easier and faster to deal with when it happened to my credit card several months ago.

I think the Blu-ray edition in the Steelbook and this set have restored it, but that original CE DVD also had the subtitle trivia track adapted from the Making Ghostbusters book, which I think is actually a pretty great extra, and which went absent from several subsequent editions.

Is it the same commentary that's on the current releases, just now without the MST3K-style silhouettes? (I only saw part of it once 20 years ago)

Yeah but if I remember correctly, don't you have to watch the movie pillarboxed?

"Live" commentary is ONLY the DVD, although specifically what's exclusive to the DVD is a mode that puts MST3K-style silhouettes of the three participants on the screen. The audio portion of the track is included on all the Blu-ray releases aside from the barebones M4K disc.

Looked it up and the subtitle trivia track was finally restored for the 4K Steelbook edition. It stands to reason it will be included on this new set as well.

Apologies if this has been asked before - but has there been any word if the contents of the Ghostbusters Ultimate Collection (I'm mainly talking about the UHD's and the exclusive bonus discs) will be released separate from the gift set / ghost trap?

To be fair, it's not a bad price.

UK is very overpriced seeing as the US release could be pre-ordered over xmas for half that (mine is locked in at £74 delivered) but once its sold out everywhere gone I am sure even the UK price will be cheap lol

The best 1080p rendition of the movie.

I believe the blu-ray set with both movies has the Mi4K transfer but different encode of the first movie and the 4K set has that same disc.

I wish we could get a solid picture of the set already. I'm in if they are separate cases. If it's cardboard or a slip box, I'll stick to the UK releases (with slips) and grab Afterlife on its own.
