Amazon is still just saying preparing for shipment for me. Estimated delivery is supposed to be tomorrow. Maybe they’re shipping it local, but that’s cutting it pretty darned close.

This damn snow in the Northeast is what’s screwing me over. It’s been at my local UPS since Saturday.

You know, the important stuff! By March we should get some actual A/V discussion. Maybe.
Sorry but scratched discs is an important issue to talk about for some people. So are crushed boxes. The condition of that box will decide later what you get for it if you decide to sell it at some point.

Think I'm going to pass on this and just get afterlife on 4k as a blind buy.. with that said.. anyone looking to sell off the original 4k copies of ghostbusters 1 & 2 to limit the damage on this double dip, send me a PM I may be willing to take them off your hands at a decent price.

Nobody knows how to pack a box these days, if they even use one at all.

Actual, individuals do - it's the companies that are clueless. Every time I buy something form Ebay it comes packed to withstand a war. How come some random Ebay seller can pack things well but not the biggest retailers?

Can you (or any Canadian who has received this) please upload photos of the Canadian set? Curious if it has french anywhere on the plastic slip or the individual 4Ks under the slips.

Because, speaking as an eBay seller that's been around forever, we'll have to deal with negative feedback if there's a hair out of place on the delivered package. And eBay always sides with the buyer. It's a far bigger hassle.

And I can only see it showing up at Best Buy. I'd be shocked if any other retailer carried it.

Unless I missed it, I didn't see any pics from Tyrok which is making me less confident Best Buy is gonna get them. They did have the other Sony sets, though.

And that absence from retail makes me wonder why they go through the effort to make the gimmicky box. It's ok and all, but it sure didn't sway my purchasing decision and I can't imagine any customer is on the fence until they see it comes in a "trap" box with green LEDs. And a trap box that doesn't look like a trap... I would have preferred it to have been just a normal sturdy slip box. "The Karate Kid" sit is my ideal presentation.

Bravo Sony, GB and GB II both get there own BD disc for the extras. Makes it alot easier to work through the extras for each film.

The Raw Dallies for GB run for an hour and a half much longer than I was expecting Sony to give us and they all have there own chapter marks.

That's all they ship by. If you want it quicker, you don't order from DD.

Sure, but I imagine Amazon for example gets tons of returns over damaged items simply because they're shipped either in bags or envelopes, or in boxes with zero padding. They're billionaires, but still, they must be bleeding millions a year in returns just due to their incompetent shipping. I can't imagine what the returns center looks like at Amazon warehouses. How much of that is due to damaged items? I'm betting a lot of it. Plus the cost of shipping out a new one, plus the cost of them eating the shipping costs too. Wouldn't it be cheaper to just use a box and 25 cents worth of padding? Heck, I'll pay $1 more per order for a box - just give me the option.

I just shipped something out today as an Ebay seller, and it's insured at over $500. I packed it well because not only do I not want to deal with a hassle if they get it damaged, but because I actually want the recipient to enjoy what they bought, and have it arrive in great condition for them, because I appreciate it when I receive items well-packaged.

Amazon just doesn't care.

I'm not into slipcovers, but those are some of the nicest I've ever seen. It's like the Batman Animated Series opening. You don't need to see the title to know it's Batman. Edit: Well, Afterlife makes it confusing.
