I understand making this thing limited but the announcement doesn't give any indication that it would be this limited. It sold out weeks before it went on sale and now there are a lot of people who can't find it. The Best Buy listing has people mad that the moment it went on sale it was sold out. Why did Sony make it this limited? Don't they see that there is a ton of demand for this thing. The SteelBook that came before this wasn't as limited. I wish Sony would make more of these.

Hi everyone! Is there a way to find out from Sony et al if this was some sort of (extremely) limited edition that is already out of print, or if there are more coming? I know none of us want to shell out $$ to the scalpers, but I'm worried that I may have missed out. Nothing in any official Sony press material says it's limited, etc., but I may have missed something. I tried to find contact info for Sony's home entertainment division, but nothing. Thanks!

It was available to order from Best Buy for at least a week after it sold out at other online retailers--after missing out on Walmart, I waffled on whether to buy it from Best Buy for reasons not related to my actually wanting it or not, and ended up pulling the trigger about three days later. It was available for two or three days after that, until they added the cover art, at which point it sold out.

That said, it was originally listed only as a $99.99 three pack of the films on 4K (and without cover art), so I can at least kind of understand the confusion here, even though no other $100 three-pack of the films on 4K was ever announced.

sooooo I really hope that boxset gets an actual restock cause this is ridiculous. Nothing on this says it's supposed to be a "limited edition" so I'm assuming this is similar to the Close Encounters box and the many other Sony Trilogy boxsets.

This whole debacle happened with the Dune steelbook a few weeks ago, too, and despite the assurance of every so-called insider here and elsewhere that that was not available for in-store pickup, I ended up finding a brand new, minty copy in a store fairly close to me the day after release--and it hadn't been there the day before, because I checked every 30 minutes for two days straight.

I'm not saying it's likely that people are going to find this Ghostbusters set in store--I don't know of anyone else who found the Dune steelbook that way--but people who are still looking for this should definitely be refreshing bestbuy.com for the next few days.

There are plenty of limited releases already. No reason to restrict this one to scalpers and those who were ready to buy during the short pre-order period.

Usually with limited they repress everything anyway. If it's not limited I feel bad for the people that spent $299.99 + shipping on it

I just jumped on it when I saw how low the price was after I got the 20% manually taken off and I figured it wouldn't be that low again for everything included.

When you hit track package,the green bar under Ordered is very near the Shipped line from the checked marked Ordered but not quite there yet.And above it says,"Arriving February 9 which I mentioned in this thread about two days ago.

If I'm lucky,it arrives before that but I've been prepared for a 2/8-2/9 arrival from the start.

Mine shows that its scheduled to arrive today by 10pm BUT the carrier facility (amazon's carry facility) has it and it doesnt show out for delivery yet. I called Amazon and they said that they can either cancel the order OR I can wait until Feb 4th....REALLY? REALLY??
