Wow... reading these horror stories about Amazon's packaging "methods" in this thread and the Ghostbusters: Afterlife thread.

Truly there's no limit to Amazon's penny pinching practices, I truly fear for my set, I just hope the thing resists the journey across two countries.

Someone made a video replacing their batteries when the lights wouldn’t work. It’s extremely tedious and will cause creases on the packaging when trying to pry the ends away from the glue and being too cramped to open it. So, it may not be worth trying to replace them. I wonder if they could have used some type of rechargeable batteries that used solar power.

Some people who didn't buy this set would love a comparison on Dolby Vision vs previous HDR10 but of course shipping couriers and slipcovers are more important than actual content review/feedback.

I wouldn’t be mad about this if I didn’t constantly see YouTube videos that are just unboxings or claim their reviews but don’t mention the Dolby vision or don’t have comparison caps.

Those who get a damaged copy from Amazon, reach out and let them know, you wanna keep it but for the price you paid and with it being sold out they mmm you would like a partial refund. I did, figured I’d get 15-20 bucks back, and they offered me 70 bucks partial refund.
So it’s definitely worth your time reaching out to them, it’s a super limited sold out premium release so it’s on them for not shipping it out better

Got my copy from Walmart. No padding in the box, but the set was so snugly fit in there that there was no damage.

Set lit up inside when I took the discs out. Very nice!

This is irritating. My set arrived with 2 UHDs of Ghostbusters 2, no UHD of Ghostbusters 1, but 1 BD of each. Is someone to contact to exchange the duplicate disc for the correct one, or is Amazon going to have to replace the whole set?

Just to piss you off more, mine just arrived from Amazon.ca in a box (but no padding). Not a prime member. In pristine condition. This will likely sit unopened for a bit unless I start hearing things like “discs arrived scratched to hell” or “disc 2 freezes at 0:47:32 and pixelates thereafter”.

When you remove all of the discs and the book, the inside lights up.

Now have a pic of it on the front porch from Amazon.

These mf-ers shipped it in a plastic bag with no padding.

Son of a...

They always do this kinda crap with limited edition sets but will then turn around and ship me granola bars in a sturdy cardboard box with bags of air inside.

Whatever... if it's really beat up (I'm guessing it is) I'll get a partial refund and just lose the outside case. That still sucks though.

They should have designed it like Pink Floyd Pulse CD set that came out in the 90s. Mine still works. I have to change the double A batteries every so often

My issue with this is, how many of the people who are asking them to reprint this set are actually going to buy it? Some, of course, but I highly doubt everyone complaining will do so.
