I have yet to see any movement of any kind on my Amazon order although the date of receiving it is still a bit off (Amazon likely hedging their bets they'll get more). With all the reports of people getting doubles of one movie, Amazon's shitty shipping bags and whatnot, I am considering just getting this locally instead of importing. The lights and all would have been nice as would the slips but I wouldn't be a bit surprised if they shipped me a busted up return should they end up honouring my order.

Yeah he does that whenever he pops up on here. Pitches his tent around some blazing hot take and dances around it for the rest of the night. Nothing that Sony has done here is out of the ordinary if people paid even the slightest bit of attention to how Sony conduct their UHD business (same goes for people who are flabbergasted that the UK set misses out on the slips and digital codes, though the lack of the light up mechanism is its own league of cheapness).

Right but this was at ready to ship for 4 days. It was ready for packaging for about a week before that.

Oh, thats weird. The reason I like ordering from them is because i always get my orders on time and some even early. And they ship boxed sets like these in boxes, unlike amazon.

I had feared for the worst after multiple people got their Amazon copies delivered in a plastic bag. My copy from Amazon was just delivered -- in a box with air cushions! It's as mint as a box like this can be. Also no duplicate discs.

The box is MUCH bigger than I was expecting. I made room on the shelf, but I'm thinking of taking the cases out and stashing the box elsewhere, but the light turns on even if you take one case out, so how would I prevent that?

Oh man. I pre-ordered on January 2nd and nothing showed up yesterday. Now I got an email from Amazon asking if I still want the item. I said yes, but now I wonder if my chances are nil.

Sort of the same deal with me.My copy from Amazon is supposed to arrive February 9.So I wasn't expecting it to move to shipping yet.I hope for a earlier ship but wasn't expecting one.The green bar is still very close to shipped

At this point I just have to hope....

1)I still get it and they don't cancel it on me even though I ordered it back on 12/30.

2)It doesn't come badly damaged(I can live with minor nicks and that sort of thing).

3)I don't get duplicate 4K disks.(the thing that worries me most)

I can't play 4K.I need the blu ray disks.Without the blu ray copies....

A) I can't watch the 4ks.

B)I have the 2014 Blu Ray releases which is missing the special features from the later 2019 release.

4)Working lights

5)A missing slipcover(that's my number 2 worry after.a duplicate disk)

Question,since my copy hasn't shipped yet,does anybody think it's worthwhile to contact Amazon and ask them to send it in a box instead of a bag?I would even be willing to add a fee to my gift card that still has a lttle over $71.00 left on it.
