I wanted that cool box set but didn't have the money at the time. Are they really not making any more?

Although now I am getting worried again since it's not only been last tracked to a depot only 20 miles away for five days now and that depot should easily have been able to hand off to USPS in way less than 5 days but the bad thing really is that now it just got updated status today of the dreaded delayed for unknown reasons combined with USPS not having received it yet. Sometimes that means lost, stolen or box so smashed and damaged by them that they realize they can't get away with delivering it.

If you don’t care about the slips then you can get the set from other countries.

Not that many (most) care -- I do -- the code for Answer the Call redeems the theatrical and extended cut in 4K.

Mine arrived today. I have not had a chance to unbox it yet. When I get home I can. Movie Guy 364 did an unboxing on his channel.

What I wasn't aware of is just how much the UK version differs. The UK box set costs 150 pounds or $200 US and has no slip covers nor does it have the LED lights.

Yet the US version has the LED lights and slip covers for $99

Kinda frustrating to see how many of these are being flipped on eBay right now (one seller had 10 copies that he was selling) when some of us that pre-ordered are now in limbo and probably SOL on receiving this set. Yay, movie collecting!

I forgot that this has lights. Obviously they don't turn on by themselves because I played around with the box last night and nothing lit up. I had no idea about people getting doubles, either, so I'll need to check my set.

I thought they were supposed to. That's how mine work, although maybe it's a little longer than a few seconds. They don't stay on, though.

Thankfully no double discs in my set but the GB1 4K disc was upside down which was odd but no damage.

Ghostbusters News video today says a few didn't have the digital codes. Mine did thankfully. So one more thing to look for.

In the new OOP set, were the transfers new for the original films? Also were there any digital codes bundled? Just curious in case I see a decent price on these...

These companies need to learn to start putting order limits on this limited-edition stuff. They'll still have zero problem selling out. I'm fairly sure someone ordering 10 ain't giving them away to friends and loved ones.

This won't change anything. People who scalp have multiple tools at their disposal to get around these things.

I've been collecting various items and scalpers are rampant everywhere. I don't think I have ever encountered a hobby that didn't have some form of scalping.

They did the same thing to me and mine ended up shipping today. I had a back up order placed through Target yesterday when they had a it go back in stock a few times and that shipped last night. I received mine and everything seemed to be in ship-shape. I truly feel bad for those who are waiting or arrived with damaged copies because this is one of the coolest box sets ever. I grew up with the movies although I wouldn't necessarily call myself a huge fan. I can't imagine how true-blue fans feel about it.
