I am with you 100% on any prevention is better than no prevention. Though I know a work around is using multiple addresses. You are just making an extra step but again for most scalpers, it isn't enough to stop them.

You go 2 per address. They can send it to their work, home, mailbox, parent's homes, spouse's homes, relatives etc. They are still going to get their volume.

Sadly for bigger companies, they see a sale as a sale. Diabolik is smaller so they have to be more diligent or people wouldn't shop with them.

For those who get worked up about such things: the new UHD of Ghostbusters doesn't have the commentary on it like the previous UHD. But oooooooooh the new encode is lush. What was a coarse blitzkrieg of grain on the previous one is finer and more organic, it's everything I wanted it to be. The 4K master itself appears to be all but identical (as per Labyrinth's two UHDs) but the improved compression finally does it justice.

And it's all there! There's a tiny little split at the bottom of the special features digipak and the slips for all three movies have the same bit of wear to the bottom left corner, but the discs are present and correct, no duplicates, AND the UHD discs are all pristine, no fingerprints or scratches. It lights up too, no rattly batteries here. For £76 I could not be happier right now!

Oh, in case anyone wants some early technical info (I know it hasn't been two weeks yet, but **** it): the first two movies are now on triple layer UHD100 discs. Will submit the disc specs to the database now. [edit] or I would I could, but I can't. The fields are locked.

Anyhoo you get these discs:

Ghostbusters UHD - UHD100
Ghostbusters BD - BD50

Ghostbusters II UHD - UHD100
Ghostbusters II BD - BD50

Ghostbusters Afterlife UHD - UHD66
Ghostbusters Afterlife BD - BD50

Bonus disc 1 - BD50
Bonus disc 2 - BD25
My set was delivered this morning too, its at home so don't know its state yet but fingers crossed no messed up discs or too much damage.

I'm glad to know I'm not crazy or imagining things as I thought the same thing! Watching on a 77" A80j, I thought the improvements were surprisingly noticeable - it looks amazing!

The Blu-ray for this set is exactly the same as the Blu-ray that was included in the SteelBook as far as I can tell.

The only three features that still remain exclusive to previous releases are the “Live” commentary from that Collector’s Series DVD (which I honestly don’t even know will work on modern equipment lol and it’s the same audio anyway) and the only two true exclusives are the video game-related features from the original Blu-ray.

Good on Sony for continuing to port everything over as well as adding substantial new material AND giving the movie a better visual presentation. Other studios should definitely take notes here

Yeah, and they've ported over the menus from the newer BDs onto the UHDs as well. As much as I detest that 'panel' menu structure from Sony's first few years of UHD I loved how the theme music would loop on it, whereas these new ones are less impactful.

I was curious if that commentary track was included in the "Mastered in 4K" releases from '14, but it is not. It's actually on the original Blu-ray release from 2009.
https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Ghost...y/3661/#Review

So if anyone is after that commentary track featuring: Ivan Reitman, Harold Ramis & Joe Medjuck....they'll need to purchase the previous 4K film or the '09 Blu.

Note: there is no commentary track for GB2.

Isn't there just one commentary? It's on the new BD that's included with this set so it not being on the UHD any more disnae bother me, but I know that it will wind up some people something chronic.

Ohhh ..I did not realize it was on that new BD. You're right...it is just the one commentary and it looks like it is on both GB1 & GB2. Glad it is included then. I still have yet to receive my set as mine is currently stuck in Amazon purgatory.

The preview cut also has optional commentary so that will be interesting to listen to.

Good to know! So this truly is the ultimate edition then! Commentary tracks have been omitted from the 4K, but we get that fresh minty encode in DV.

After checking the discs, they're all correct, but not only is one of the flaps on the "trap" cracked and torn, every slipcase has had the black worn away on the front in the bottom left corner. 25% refund for damage is the best I could do. I really hope Sony comes through with a packaging replacement program, but I won't hold my breath.

I had the exact same wear on the three slipcases. I can however live with it, as deep discount will just tell me to **** off anyway. My flaps are fine though.

Indeed! Optional commentary by Associate Producer Joe Medjuck and Editor Sheldon Kahn for the 114-minute preview cut.

The wear on the slips is a bit odd. I have a feeling it's not as much "wear" as some kind of manufacturing issue. At least, what I see on my Afterlife slip. I know what you guys mean, though (I think). Mine is more near the upper right on the Afterlife slip only.
