My set showed up today from DD. Box in great condition. Light works, seems to have all the discs and slips.

Regarding the previous SteelBook that had both movies and the new (at the time) special features, are all of those now in this set, or is there stuff missing?

Default I missed out on this

but oh well. I didn’t think it would sell out so fast but if there is more stock for the regular price I might bite on it. Will see if Sony makes more or if that’s all folks!

I almost forgot - I was watching the special feature where Jason and Ivan Reitman were doing video commentary over a few scenes from Ghostbusters and Ivan mentioned that the short window they had until release didn't give them enough time to get the F/X as good as they wanted. He said they went back and improved them for the DVD release, which I don't recall being a thing. Did that happen too early in the internet's lifecycle for there to be outrage over revisionist tinkering? Or did I dream up that comment? I remember being surprised when he said it.

I didn't get too far into it, but a quick google search didn't turn up anything yet.

The restored Real Ghostbusters Pitch Concept Pilot isn't on there. Unless it's hidden or I overlooked it.

Oh that’s odd, I saw the same comment in a quote in the back of a recent issue of the Build the Ecto-1 magazine and I was like “uhhhh whatnow?”. Whatever it was he did, it wasn’t enough to stoke the fires of outrage which were smouldering even in the last millennium.

Looks like I got lucky with my shipment from amazon.ca. It came in a cardboard box, the trap packaging was in immaculate shape and all the correct discs were there.

Thank goodness for those slips because holy cow is the cover artwork (for all the movies) ever butt-ugly.

A couple days ago it seemed a lot of Amazon (U.S.) orders were inexplicably delayed just a couple towns away from the destination. Mine is now listed as "may be lost". Anyone else have that happen or have most of your Amazon packages shown up?

Torn over whether to hit the "cancel and request refund" button.. because of course if someone does find it somewhere in Amazon delivery world, I'd like them to get it to me rather than returning it.

I wouldn't. I'd let Amazon do the cancelling. Not sure where you're at, but there have been supply chain delays due to winter storms in some areas. I don't think Amazon's threshold for "may be lost" is that high. Is it a few days past the original delivery date?

Probably just some optical recomposites that looked a bit janky in the theater.

For those who ordered DD, was your tracking ever updated? Mine shipped Monday but no updates yet. We’ve had weather issues but it never updated to where USPS said they received the item to send out. Also, what was it delivered in? Sturdy box?

Yeah, I'll wait. It was supposed to arrive Feb 1st, and made it to a town just 50 miles from me before I started seeing "Delayed in Transit" updates. I'm in California so I don't think the storms should be affecting it, but who knows.

Sony Pictures GHOSTBUSTERS: The Reitman's Trilogy!

And it's all there! There's a tiny little split at the bottom of the special features digipak and the slips for all three movies have the same bit of wear to the bottom left corner, but the discs are present and correct, no duplicates, AND the UHD discs are all pristine, no fingerprints or scratches. It lights up too, no rattly batteries here. For £76 I could not be happier right now!

Oh, in case anyone wants some early technical info (I know it hasn't been two weeks yet, but **** it): the first two movies are now on triple layer UHD100 discs. Will submit the disc specs to the database now. [edit] or I would I could, but I can't. The fields are locked.

Anyhoo you get these discs:

Ghostbusters UHD - UHD100
Ghostbusters BD - BD50

Ghostbusters II UHD - UHD100
Ghostbusters II BD - BD50

Ghostbusters Afterlife UHD - UHD66
Ghostbusters Afterlife BD - BD50

Bonus disc 1 - BD50
Bonus disc 2 - BD25
Glad you didn't get any mishaps with any of the discs!
I created both entries for the database. Seems to not be locked on my end. All that's needed are proper listings of the audio (original listed first of course), subtitles entered, and the bitrate for the feature. (BDInfo?) Also needed are scans of the front and back of both the slipcover and case. Assuming the artwork is different for the covers in the cases compared to the slipcovers. rdodolak uploaded placeholder images for the fronts of both movies.

I can’t speak for the second movie, but everything is intact for the first movie, minus two featurettes that tie into the 2009 video game that are on that first Blu-ray release of the movie.

Just cracked open my set and all the discs are correct with no missing slips and even the light works

Still can’t believe the U.K. release is double the price and inferior.

Mine updated and is supposed to arrive by Monday. Hoping it arrives tomorrow as it's now only about 100 miles away as of last night.

DVDCompare has entries for all three regarding the first and second movie. Keeping the 2009 BD for that very reason. Only reason why I'm keeping the digibook for 1 & 2 double feature is because of the printed material. Going to sell the 2016 4K release since the Ultimate Collection completely defeats its existence.

GHOSTBUSTERS
2009 BD DVDCompare entry
2016 4K DVDCompare entry
2019 Steelbook 4K 35th Anniversary DVDCompare entry
2022 Ultimate Collection DVDCompare entry

Hope mine shows up on time tomorrow. Postal service was cancelled today due to the snow.

Thanks for the update. I guess I’ll give it one more week and it it doesn’t show up or update I’ll see if I can get a refund. Im thinking it’s lost at this point.
