False advertisement requires intent to deceive. Target mistakenly listed the incorrect product on its website and never carried the item in stores. Why go to the store and raise a stink over something the employees have no control over, especially when the fault is on Target.com, not the store itself?

target.com is part of the same company so the in store manager should be able to tak care of it...what if I didnt know better (from this site) and drove 30 mins to the store to find out they F'd up? they should compensate that trouble somehow...since the cart strictly shows the 4k UHD BR.

Claiming "what if I didn't know better?" is a moot point since you already are aware and are set on going to the store ready to complain that the item isn't what is listed on the website, unless I'm misunderstanding "I'm getting my battle suit on and going in tomorrow". So are you saying your plan is to go in and feign ignorance in order to receive compensation from the manager?

no. what if the disc is exactly what I bought...I wont know till I go in right? despite whgat has been reported here

Im gonna complain if its not what I ordered online.....and your argument "to decieve" doesnt hold water...if they leave a sign up for a sale that expored they are required to honor that due to their error..

same with this...my battle suit is on..cause I am ready for the worst case scenario...and thats them deceiving me to think when I show up...a shiny new 4k UHD in a black jewel case will be waiting for me...anything less I will complain as I have the right to as a consumer...

The whole thing was a hassle. I wasn't happy, but I didn't waste any more time trying to get something out of them since I figured it would be a losing battle. Plus, part of me thought I should've known better (and pretty much did - I would've been more shocked if they had it). Still, the whole handling of it was ridiculous.

When I first got there, they couldn't even find the order based on my name because I had listed an alternate pickup person and their system didn't do that correctly (it looked like it substituted my wife's name for "guest"). Next, they couldn't find the item, so he had to go look somewhere else for it. Then, he brought out the Blu-Ray and I said "that isn't it". He must not have understood me, since he proceeded to process the transaction. I thought he was just cancelling it. He said something else and I repeated "that isn't it", which began the process of someone else being called over to go search for the UHD, even though I knew at that point that it would never be found.

When I went back, the customer service person explained to me that even though the picture was different on the site, what they had (the Blu-Ray) was the 4k version because it said "Mastered in 4k" on the back. I explained to him that the picture on the site was of the UHD disc and that was not a UHD disc. He repeated that it was and once again pointed out that it said "Mastered in 4k". I told him again that it wasn't it and then just tried to get my money back.... which I also couldn't do because he processed the transaction and their stupid system won't allow returns for store-pickups within 24 hours!

I'm sure the CS person thought I was an idiot because it said "4k" on the packaging and I kept saying it wasn't.

Google "AVS Ghostbusters Review", "Digital Bits Ghostbusters Review", and "Home Theater Forum Ghostbusters Review". They should be the first things that come up in each search.

These are still listed at $22.96 on walmart.com, I think that's a fair price for a new format disc.

Target has Ghostbusters part 2 4k for 8.99, you can order online and do store pick up, or have best buy price match. Im pretty sure its pick up only though, no shipping. target.com is NOT showing part 1 though.

If you do store pick-up from Target for Ghostbusters II, they will set aside the normal BD, apparently it has the same DPCI as the UHD. Just go to Best Buy and PM Target's price if you really want.

well, all you should have to do is show them the online receipt that shows a picture of the 4k UHD BD.
