I wonder what other Sony catalog 4ks are going to get this Dolby Vision with new exclusive extras. So far we got Labyrinth, Karate Kid, and Ghostbusters. I hope Dark Crystal follows.

Everyone? I think the Sony version looks better than the SC. I think the colors on SC are kinda jacke actually.

I don't mind a revisit but they are far from anything less than fantastic!

Ghistbusters has certaintly set a new bar. Just incredible. I never even like Ghostbusters 2 but I am thinking why not???!! It is quite amazing actually.

You know my vote Answer the Call! It needs Dolby Vision and a new slipcover!!!

...and we finally get the Theatrical version with Atmos!!

Mine came from Amazon yesterday in a plain white bag with no protection at all. Got all the correct discs and the green light works, however one of the corners took a beating and because of it, the left panel that holds the movies is creased in the middle and slightly folds out. At this point I’m just happy to own it and all things considered, I’m still happy

The SC's colors are closer to how the film originally looked. I remember when the Sony UHD first came out and people thought that since the yellow tint from the remastered Blu-ray had been toned down, the UHD was an improvement and more "Accurate" I guess.

The film on 35mm had a very strong gold/yellow hue which the SC disc replicates. It's the Sony disc that has issues with the grading, it's like in an attempt to "Naturalize" the grading more, they made it look more artificial. As if the sharpening and the other processing wasn't enough.

Maybe not everyone..., but you are definitely in the minority. I would pop on over to the thread and see how the majority seem to be pro SC. The screen caps speak for themselves.

I know the screenshots and yes I do prefer the color and look of the Sony. Plus grain is more healthy.

In your screenshot there is more blown out gold and one shade of red in her hair. To me Sony wins in every way. Yes Dolby Vision absent, yes lower bitrate. I can handke all of that. Still looks outstanding and superior to me. I have often seen as contrarion. Nah, I just don't go to group think if I have an opinion.

I tell you what isn't great about the SC version...the price. For 8 bucks on black Friday I am so good. Sony will revisit this for sure.

I am looking back and forth and can see some of the sharpening in Sony from the screenshots but it is still so minimal to me. Hell I even popped Sony 4K back in just now. Nope, this one is still breathtaking.

I have a TCL Series-5. It has Dolby Vision.
I have the UB820. HDR10+ off but DV on. Set to 4:4:4

820 has an 8k HDMI into TV, audio HDMI into receiver.

No high expectations of the Ray possessed scene just like the Eugene Levy scene. The Ray scene is just him driving around erratically. Whether it's good or not I just wanted to see the scene intact as it was going to be used.
