I got to looking at what I had received from them in the past. I was confused. I didn’t ever receive the message they were looking into it. I received one saying this

Thank you for contacting Sony Pictures Home Entertainment.

We understand your concern and we are here to help. To better assist you regarding your purchase, please provide us with the following:
Picture of the receipt.
Picture of the disc inside the open case.
Picture of the front of the case as well as the back, showing the UPC and barcode.
When and where the title was purchased.
Kindly include an address (no P.O. Box) as well as a phone number.
Thanks and regards,

Ala
SPHE Consumer Affairs

I sent all of this on 3/10

I never got a response. I sent a follow up email Saturday night. I received the same email as Andreasy969 today

Thank you for contacting Sony Pictures Home Entertainment.

We apologize for the inconvenience and the continued wait. As much as we would love to resolve your issue as quickly as possible, we are having supply chain issues that are delaying the replacements being sent out. Once we have them available to ship, we will provide an update as well as FedEx tracking number to track your replacements.

Please let us know if there is anything else we can do to assist you.

Regards,

Ala

I am still not sure if they are understanding that this is a audio issue and if they are doing a replacement program for the correct audio. I really hope that’s what it means.

It is not what it means. I’d bet my ride on it.

Since I got the looking into it, nothing for quite some time after that, replacements and supply chain now, I can only assume that replacements will fix the issues. They wouldn't repress sold out items for what they think are random faulty discs me thinks.

I never quoted what they said, but here it is (without the yada yada):

That was after me explaining the Dolby Stereo issue in detail in response to the former "Can you provide a video?" response.

Holy megaquote Batman! I haven't done one for GBII as there's such a tiny difference between the two UHDs - even tinier than on GB - it's not worth it. Though I never did a 'review' of GBII in general so I might get around to it at some point.

Err, yes, that was far too large! Edited

GB1 sounded like a worthwhile upgrade from the old disc from what you'd said, just as Labyrinth did (which I bought, and agree with). It'd be good to hear your thoughts, but if GBII really does offer that little in terms of an upgrade it might be a null issue.. should probably try to get my hands on GB1 though. Thanks!

I mean, you can only get the new discs together in one boxset at the moment, so you can't pick and choose until they release them individually anyway.

Someone offered me the 4k discs from the set. I was essentially working out whether it was worthwhile buying both or just GB1

I got the notification.
It said only one in stock.
I seriously thought about it...
I decided against it.

So what’s the general consensus on the Ultimate Edition (mostly on whether I should try to buy one or not)?
Heard that the set had issues (mostly about the television cut of Ghostbusters 1 as well as the audio). The set I have is the Ghostbusters 1 and 2 double pack from 2014 (the one with the booklet inside) so I don’t know if it would be worth it to upgrade.

If you're a fan absolutely get it. Even with the errors, it still has the preview cut and some unique material you can't find anywhere else.

Is it true that the Dolby vision fixed nothing with the hdr grade on both ghostbusters 1 and 2?

Ghostbusters 1, yes it did. Ghostbusters 2, apparently so little it's not worth the trouble.

Can we please pin the info for replacement programs in the first post? I don't understand why this isn't a thing yet, I have to search through a thread for contact info.
