Seems that way. Like I said before: literally any garbage with the Ghostbusters logo they have lying around would have been more appropriate than this. But then again it wouldn’t be an unforgettable experience either.

I ordered 2 boxes as insurance (they were both damaged) and I only got one replacement. I requested a 2nd box immediately and up until the moment I saw the tiny package on my doorstep courtesy of FedEx’s delivery driver’s photo I assumed it was my second box.
As I held it in my hands it was clear that it was some kind of movie. I thought maybe I was getting replacement discs for my damaged box, or replacement cases for the individual titles. I ever considered the possibility that they were sending out copies of Ghostbusters ATC with packaging that matched the other films in the set, which would have been a comparable troll but also would have made some sense. And I had a hell of a time opening the package, especially since I didn’t want to damage its precious contents. And I have to be honest: I can’t remember being as confused as I was when I saw what was inside. I thought I was placed on the wrong replacement program list, but thankfully they included that heartfelt letter that explained that this is just how Sony apologizes. |

Looks like the steelbook release of 1+2 has been restocked and readily available again. But those use the old non DV releases right? The DV release is superior all round wasn't it?

I received the apology gift (if you can call it that), but I am seriously confused. Their wording make it seems like this is to apologize while we wait for a replacement, which will eventually come, right? I don’t want Sony to think that we’re good now that they sent me some morbin time…

hey guys....got my surprise package via Fedex today...containing the useless dvd and bluray movies...
I was all hopeful that it contained the missing Afterlife slipcase I requested, but no... Have tried replying to the original email from Sony, with any updates...but no reply either. I'll keep waiting by the postbox for my missing slipcover |
