Well I just mean will a new all-in-one set come out with the new Dolby Vision discs us plebs have been waiting for

I know it's great for people who missed out on the last boxset, but sucks for people like me who have gotten nearly every major release.

All four movies in individual steelbooks inside a giant steel case in 2024. Probably shaped like the firehouse. A download card of the 2016 film will be inserted later when the one person who wants it complains. Insertion will result in spine slashes for all the steelbooks to fit the card under the plastic, sad to say. Fans saddened but look forward to 50th anniversary re-re-re-release in 2034 hoping all previous issues fixed. Sony announces exit from home video in 2032.

Tbh I don't even want anything past Ghostbusters II, I haven't seen the new ones and don't care to, I just want that damn Dolby Vision drip will probably sell the other discs and put the UHDs in my old mediabook. Individual Steels would be ideal.

I thought afterlife was ok but not great. The nostalgia pandering/retreading of the first movie was the worst part, so maybe this will be better now that they aren't doing that again.

Returning baddies is not pandering if they're integral to the plot. They didn't even play the theme song!

Does anyone know if this 3-pack has the version with Dolby Vision? I'm not sure if this was released in the US or is a Canadian only release, but it came out about a month after they Dolby Vision release came out.

This website's scan of the back cover shows the Dolby Vision logo, but I can't tell from the audio specs if all three movies have it or just Afterlife; the ones for Ghostbusters don't match either of its previous 4K releases.

Big if true. But I bet you're right and the Dolby Vision/Atmos is there for Afterlife only.

The first two movies also have Atmos soundtracks listed in the specs.

This is a great set. As someone else had mentioned, Ghostbusters 1 and 2 are in HDR10 and not the latest Dolby Vision release. Also Ghostbusters 1 and 2 are stacked discs which I really don't like as it increases the chances of getting scratches. There were a couple small scratches on two of the discs but hopefully they still play ok. If companies are going to stack discs I wish they would at least put the label sides touching. Overall I'd highly recommend this set but I have to deduct 1 star for stacked discs and scratches.

Have the DV bd-100 discs only been released in the Ultimate editions then? Weird that no trilogy pack got then around the time of the bluray release of Afterlife.

For some strange reason, the boxset is the only set with DV. Ticks me off!
