Agreed. That's the only reason I haven't bought the current 4K of 2016 is because only the extended cut is in 4K, and I find that cut a little bloated. They really should have had both, or just the theatrical cut in 4K, as it seems that's how most releases do it.

I don't have anything to temper. I know that the promo often are not like the final product. if it's like the original good, if not it's ok anyway for me, so nothing to temper here

The only two things that seem to be more certain omissions at this point are the “Tricks and Trivia” Text Commentary and "The Real Ghostbusters - Pitch Concept Pilot" - A Fan Restoration by Robert Barbieri, but it could just be that they were mistakenly not listed with the info and they're actually included with the upcoming set.

I just checked the 35th anniversary 5 discs steelbook and on the back it doesn't mention the trivia and the pitch concept pilot. I have to check on the disc itself

So they've decided to put the 2016 movie in the collection?

Not buying now simply because Sony caved and this will probably raise the price.

I looked at an old press release to compare the special features, so it’s possible the final product didn’t contain those two things. I should have double checked my disc, as well. I haven’t actually gone through all the special features on my 35th set yet. My bad.

Hopefully the compression is better on the UHD's of 1 & 2 this time around and the highlights aren't as intense.

Those are my only gripes with the 2016 discs. Well that and the lack of OG audio too.

If Labyrinth 35 was any indication then the compression will be betterer and the DV will mitigate them stupidly bright highlights.

I'm pretty sure the Australian release has both the Theatrical and Extended Cuts on the 4K disc.

I'd buy it again if it had the Extended in 3D.

I watched the discs top to bottom recently, the 5-disc Steelbook. It contains those 2 things.

I have to ask. I haven't seen Afterlife yet but does the ending of the movie leave it open for another Ghostbusters Movie or does it do a good job of closing the story?

That's funnier than excluding it totally.

Honestly, it felt like they wanted the 2016 to be its own thing (outside of a few cameos) but now complain that it was excluded from the rest when it comes to this set.
