Yeah but all my preorders say ready for packaging including releases that aren’t coming out until late February and even March. They say my Godfather Collection is ready for packaging, no way they have those yet.

I got an email from Amazon yesterday saying:
New estimated delivery date: Tuesday, February 1, 2022

I am hoping that estimate holds! I am bit worried they have oversold this release and will start canceling pre-orders.

You should be good. I do not have Prime which is why my date is further out.

I'm betting only a limited # of these are able to be created for the release date...and wouldn't be surprised if they underestimated how limited they would actually be.

That's why it's sold out everywhere....for now.

I pre-ordered my set as late as January 12th from BestBuy and I've got that "ready for packaging" remark next to my status as well. So maybe there are plenty of these sets available, but stores are putting limits on them in case of the packaging and its light feature being defective and needing to be exchanged? I vaguely remember a dvd boxset from the mid-2000's coming with a light feature and arriving defective, and you couldn't find the set because every customer exchanged theirs to get a working unit.

Nor have I. That's not too surprising though, based on other pre-orders with them. I suspect it will flip to Preparing to Ship on Thursday, maybe Friday. We shall see!

I received an e-mail from best buy that my preorder will be shipping soon and I should review my payment info. to avoid delays and I still have the "Get it by Release Date: Tue, February 1" text on my order, the status change from "Ready for Packaging" to "Pre-ordered, we'll let you know when your per-order ships"

So I've been checking and re-checking everyday for the past couple of weeks about ordering the Ghostbusters: Ultimate Collection off of Amazon.com... doesn't seem look like it's going to be back in-stock.

I went to Amazon.ca to order it there, also sold out. Just checked Best Buy as well. Also sold out.

So for anyone who missed out on pre-ordering this, does this officially mean we're F'd -- we're not getting it now unless we pay scalper prices on eBay?
