I watched this for the first time a week or two ago.

It was solidly made and directed, obviously. Looks great.

It's not necessarily my cup of tea, though. I guess it's a decent companion piece to the original if you're into it.

7/10 from me.

Honestly, the first one was oozing with 80's cheese & mega cliches. It was "bad" but good if you will. This was just good and much more realistic than the first one, IMO.

I continue to be floored by this movie. So much so, I will be breaking my own long-standing tradition of watching Independence Day every year on or around the 4th of July. So now for the first time in 25 years ID4 will be replaced, in favor of Top Gun: Maverick.

First of all. What kind of spoilers? "Gee, I wonder if they're going to succeed?" Not much of a movie if they don't. Secondly, douche move trying to spoil after being told not to. Thirdly, (not knowing tone or context) you're a police officer. You shouldn't be that much of a ***** around guns. Fourth, regardless of context, yeah, you don't pull it from the holster.

I’m totally guessing here, but maybe they just made way too many of those 4k-only copies off the runaway success of the movie in theaters and since not nearly as many people have made the jump to 4k yet the demand for the blu-ray has remained nice and steady.

Almost as if it would’ve sold better if they’d simply included a bd copy.

It would have been nice to get the bluray but I'm glad I also got the digital code..

I watched this the other night on my 77” LG OLED. Absolutely love the movie but the IMAX scenes were SICK!

I've seen the film 3 times on Blu-Ray, and overall everything is remarkable. I recently bought the 4K two-pack that included the original, but haven't watched either one yet.
