As far as I know, since the production company that produced it is Fox Searchlight, is that it will be on BD.

oh, here in germany its allready released, i saw it in theatre, OWNAGE movie!!! yes its from FOX here.

I've been waiting forever for this movie. Is the blu-ray release world-wide? I ask because though I really like Danny Boyle, having a DVD release date set before the movie even hits theatres (at least in the US) usually doesn't bode well for the quality of the movie.

Just saw Sunshine and I must say I thought it was brilliant. I could see some people hating it, cause of the last act of the film but I loved it all. This movie woiuld make the ultimate demo disc for blu-ray. It is such a beautiful film. I recommend it alone, just for the beautiful effects and set design. I hope Fox gives us a blu-ray release of this.

I am with you erowe83. Just saw it last night and it blew me away. Acting was great and focused more heavily on the characters than the sci-fi. Definately would look amazing on BluRay. Let's hope Fox gets back into the game soon.

Saw this movie in the theatres yesturday. I'd definetely recommend it even if you're not a sci-fi person (it's much more drama in space as opposed to your usual sci-fi intergalactic war stuff). Anyway, will this go to blu-ray? Thanks for your help

Its my favorite film so far this year. I thought it was amazing. One of the most beautiful films I have ever seen. This needs needs needs to be on blu-ray ASAP.

As I remember, this was not actually "announced by Fox," and they later said that they had not, at that time, officially announced any new releases on BD anywhere.

Downloaded this and watched a few weeks back. Excellent movie for how shitty it was. I will be purchasing on Blu!

although the same could be sent of every movie, I think Sunshine benefits more than most from the big screen because you get a sense of the vastness of space and how significant the mission is (plus, there are a lot of sun shots where you're just like 'whoa'). Plus, the intense special effects are more accuretely portrayed because in some scenes the whole screen is on fire.

I don't understand how this could pass as 'artsy'. This movie was almost exactly(not a bad thing, it was a good movie) like Event Horizon. Another movie that should be on BD.
