The fact that they're asking me to help the office across the street with their filing. Sure it's annoying since it'll cut into my ability to goof off. The upside that makes it worth it is it means less time spent around loud and annoying co-worker.

You can't think like that. Next month will at least be the start of a new year and I will finally return to school for the first time since 2014. So that's something...

Lightbulb It's all in your mind

I try not to think like that, but sometimes a thought just uncontrollably enters one's mind. Kind of like an unrestrained subconscious reaction.

December is awesome. Just watching my kids get so excited is magical. January is a bit long and cold, but that leads into February and vacations. Before you know it, it's spring. Flowers are blooming, trees are budding and birds are a singing. Followed by summer. And everyone loves summer.🍺

I hate summer.

Too hot, too humid, yard work, bugs and other critters come out. I'll take a nice winter any day.

I like all the things all the time. Except that one thing, I don't like it very much.

Does anyone here think Christmas is a corporate racket teaching kids the spirit of greed?

^50/50, but Christmas is still a wonderful time of year, to hang out with the folks. Plus there is something magical about the idea of Santa, especially as a kid.

I was 6 when Santa was ruined for me. To save money, my school bus picked up both Elementary School and High School kids (going to two different schools), rather than have two separate buses. One of the High Schoolers on the bus told me that Santa isn’t real. His friends then said "what are you doing, don’t tell him that" but it was too late. The magic died that day...

I still believe in Santa, BucketheadPikes told me he's real!

I'm a total Scrooge, I hate Christmas and the holidays and the cold and the snow. And yes, Christmas was made up by corporate America. My girlfriend feels the same way.

To each their own, though. Just never bought into any of it.

Christmastime is my favorite time of year. I love the cold, the lights, the sounds, the smells, visiting with family and friends I don't get to see often during the rest of the year. I look forward to it all year long and try to savor it as long as I can while it's here.

Agreed. I prefer cold, overcast, rainy days to hot, bright, humid days without question. I often feel like I have little energy during the summer due to the heat zapping it out of me. I just want to lay around in front of a fan and not do anything. But I feel active and full of energy during the fall and winter, and I feel like I can get get out and do stuff.

I'm the exact opposite. I can't function in the cold at all. Don't wanna do anything outside, just wanna stay in and keep warm. When it's hot out, that's when I have the most energy. That sunshine puts me in a great mood and motivates me to get up and do something.
