Got that thing worked out with my sister yesterday so that was something off my mind (it was totally unintended and what I thought it would be).

So remember the co-worker that no called no showed yesterday? Overheard my boss on the phone this morning.

"Oh hey, yeah we didn't hear from you yesterday. Is everything okay?"
"Oh no, there's not much going on today. See you on Monday."

The conversation should have been "you're fired." Simple as that.

In my experience most supervisors are worthless. They're either toadies for those higher than them or friends with most of their employees so they don't enforce anything for their buddies. I wish HR and administration could see how much most of the people I work with flog the rules, the number of suspensions and terminations would be highlarious.

i can't take any type of NSAID pain reliever (allergic); that's why i have to take tylenol. but it knocked it out pretty quick and i was able to get outside and do some more yard work; been doing a LOT of that, lately.

Checking the status of my IRS refund and cause I sent it in on the day it was due, it still doesn't appear on their system.

Thinking about making reservations for father's day this year. I have never really done anything special on this day, besides call up my Dad to tell him I love him and to shoot the breeze, but his health has been crumbling the last couple years and who knows how many 'active' father's days we'll have left. He used to fish all the time but hasn't done so in many,many years - myself included - so, I'm thinking about treating him to a day up at the lake just like he did with me when I was little. Complete with a breakfast stop at a quaint roadside diner en route, assuming they're still open, its been well over 20 years since I've been up there. Assuming the kid doesn't have softball game/practice that weekend, it'll be a 3 generation outing.

That's awesome and is what it's all about. Definitely do it, man...I'm sure he'd love that regardless of how much fishing actually gets done.
