I don't care for it either. You spend more time scrolling for something to watch than actually watching.

Hulu has Fresh Off The Boat and Famous In Love so I prefer Hulu.

True. I've seen businesses advertise a "Fourth of July Sale" of being asked "what are your plans for July 4th weekend?"

Independence Day
Good morning. In less than an hour, aircraft from here will join others from around the world. And you will be launching the largest aerial battle in the history of mankind. "Mankind." That word should have new meaning for all of us today. We can't be consumed by our petty differences anymore. We will be united in our common interests. Perhaps it's fate that today is the Fourth of July, and you will once again be fighting for our freedom... Not from tyranny, oppression, or persecution... but from annihilation. We are fighting for our right to live. To exist. And should we win the day, the Fourth of July will no longer be known as an American holiday, but as the day the world declared in one voice: "We will not go quietly into the night!" We will not vanish without a fight! We're going to live on! We're going to survive! Today we celebrate our Independence Day!

Netflix is gunning to be the next hot premium TV channel and I think they have a pretty good shot at accomplishing that. They have a TON of original shows that seem to be popular with audiences, so many that I don't think I'll ever be able to catch them all. I got hooked on Lost In Space and now can't wait for Season 2. Lots of original movies as well but the motion picture aspect really needs to be worked on. They need better titles. The content provider has come a long way since their DVD rental days, that's for sure.

With none of the founders of "Toys for Bob" being named Bob, who is Bob? The founders are Paul Reiche III, Fred Ford, and Terry Falls.

Toys for Bob is making the Spyro remasters.

Anything but "Fourth of July" - that's how the Brits would say it. We are celebrating our Independence from them

I'm disappointed in the way we celebrate the holiday. I feel there's a genuine lack of enthusiasm and no pomp. Where are the marching bands, parades, choirs? Where is the Presidential speech? All we get is a 25+ minute firework display hosted by a giant retailer.

EXACTLY!!!

all it seems now is people look at it as just a day off from work (for those that get the day off) and a reason to light some fireworks.

the city close to here used to have a Veteran's Day parade. it was a pretty big deal as they'd close the streets along the parade route and all businesses along the route would close for the day. and the streets would be lined with people packed tightly to watch the parade. i know, because i marched in the parade one year when i was in boy scouts. now? no parade...no anything. and i'm sure it'd be seen as an inconvenience if they closed the streets down, now, for anything like that.

people have lost all concept of celebrating freedom, our veterans/military, or anything else that may "inconvenience" them as they go about their daily lives.

I always try to avoid getting into shows before season 3 since so many die in the first two seasons. Helps that I have so many old shows and BDs I can watch. FWIW I agree on the Fourth but you can't force patriotism. That's one of the rights of living in this great country. You have the personal freedom to choose how you feel about it without having that choice made for you.

At first when Costco discontinued their very berry sundae, I was quite upset! They replaced it with a less delicious (I assumed) and more expensive (I know) vanilla and acai swirl. But after tennis today, my buddy and I stopped to go shopping at Costco and we ate in the food court afterward (hot dogs and soda) and I had one of the new swirls and it was quite good! I gladly admit that I was wrong and prejudice to assume that it would not taste as good as the very berry sundae. I should write a Yelp review!

Sometimes, I like to go on YouTube just to watch gameplay videos of these games. So much fun times and memories. One of the best 3-game franchises that I've played.
The Line Gun and Pulse Rifle were amazing weapons.
I don't want to play these games anymore because they scared the crap out of me, particularly 2 & 3.

Going through some old messages and now I'm in the mental mind f#*k of "what if."

If I wouldn't have let a few things slip, I'd be so much better of.

I spend a lot of time with my laptop actually on my lap as opposed to the laptop sitting on a table - how much radiation does this equipment give off? I've heard varying opinions on this subject, from miniscule amounts to enough to pose a real danger to people's health. Any computer scientists out there that can shed some myth-free light on this?
