Use comedy to reel people in - always works. I make friends even when I don't want to. Everybody at work tells me I'm funny, that I should be a stand-up comedian. You see - I'm antisocial but still manage to make people stop and want to talk to me. It's so annoying

It was so much easier as kids, when you could bond just over the fact you were wearing the same shirt or had the same toy or something like that. Making friends with girls was always hard, though, no matter what age.

Not everybody is or can be funny, though. A friend of mine met his girlfriend because when she was hired where they worked, he introduced her to the machines she'd be using by playfully using a Russian accent to explain things, which she thought was funny and made her fall for him. If I tried something like that it would just come across as weird and off-putting, and likely make the girl think I was someone to be avoided.

Watched Transformers: Dark of The Moon, today. I forgot how many random people the Autobots kill while fighting the Decepticons. lol there is also the episode of Star Trek where Spock goes crazy playing on tv in one scene, which is funny given Leonard Nimoy voices Sentinel Prime.

Foreign accents are a perfect way be humorous but be careful - some people may get offended. Just try short and common phrases at first around a small group of people. Trust me, it works. Here's a routine that always gets people to at least chuckle when I use it:

Someone asks me where I'm from.
Me: New Delhi (In Indian accent)
Them: Oh, you're from India?
Me: No, the new deli up the street.
Them: Oh, I see. Um, what do you do?
Me: I open business
Them: Oh, that's great. It must be a lot of work to own a business, eh?
Me: No, no, no - I open business everyday for my boss at 7 AM.

wondering why people buy things, that aren't cheap, then pay even more money for parts from a company that sells the same thing they're "upgrading" to.
