Playing Resident Evil 3 again. There was an episode in Batman: The Animated Series where Batman realized he was dreaming. One of his clues was that all the writing was gibberish. He tells the villain that reading is more a function of the left side of the brain, while dreams happen in the right side of the brain, the creative side. Yet the dream in the opening of RE3 shows advertising text and written pamphlets and stuff all over Jill's room. I know it's typical for movies, television and games, but it would have been cool if they made it all gibberish without even explaining. The dreams almost always look too real.

It's really great except for the fact that "You can't read in dreams." Is absolute bull!
I can read in dreams, and quite vividly too!
I know others who do too!

I have never understood that dream thing from Batman. I read in my dreams all the time. I don't mean books or anything but I've seen signs and names and such just fine while dreaming.

I can't remember ever reading in a dream. Then again, most dreams are so difficult to remember anyway, if you don't make a point of thinking about them after or writing them down.

As one with a broken back, I can't really exercize. So the pounds come on easy and go off hard.
But, I really packed them on Thanksgiving, Christmas and new years dinners.
I want to be back to my "frame weight" of 150.
I have 50 more to go.
I hit 230 a few times over the last few years and I get it back to 200 and I just always feel horrible when over 150.

my weight has been a real yo-yo, I can't seem to get below 190, although I have gone down two pant sizes. I have NO WILL POWER when it comes to my sweet tooth, bought two chocolate chip cookies at Barnes and Nobles this afternoon and snuck them into the movie I saw. Now I feel real bad I did that, I also blame my friend that was supposed to come over to my house the prior weekend, when I promised him I'd make some milkshakes, he bagged out at the last minute and left me high and dry with a quart of ice cream, which is almost completely gone (damn him )

I reconnected with a high school friend, he used to be really funny, now of the few times we've talked, it's like talking to a parent - and not in a good way, the Air Force made him jaded.

sorry for your loss of your best friend. My pool of closest friends seems to be dwindling.

I may be having an spiritual crisis and need help
I don't know what's going on but everything seems to not be working right

I don't get it why do I have to wear a mask all the time when I go out yes I do understand I have to wear one if I go to doctor or somewhere that has to

otherwise I don't like to wear one apparently my mom is upset because despite I took my mask over planet fitness 1 day last week I didn't wear it had in locker when I went up to counter asking for new schedule

plus today I went over to Walmart didn't feel like wearing one despite I was at 2 different doctors today

they say covid is bad now where I live at but i'm not to scare about stuff like getting covid or the flu whatever these days even when I was at doctor office waiting try to take off few mins my dad kept saying put it back on it's just annoying plus fact I had to wear a mask forgot to wear one at home

yes I know i'm rambling right now for no good reason and I do have bad lungs that old saying if I ever get covid It will kill me aka hard to recover for an example

is it my fault that I don't like wearing a mask everytime I go out the only places where I actually don't like wear a mask pf because don't have to Walmart game exchange going to see a movie theater meh

I recommend trying a neck gaiter, they're typically more comfortable than surgical masks and when you're most at risk you can double or even triple "fold" them to give you extra shielding. Remember masks aren't necessary to protect yourself, they're to protect others and slow down the transmission of the infection. I'll leave it at that just so this doesn't escalate into a political debate.

Just bought a new Keurig Latte machine (my second one). Not having much luck with the coffee on this machine, specifically the taste. There's a weird kind of fishy taste - maybe it's the milk? (I use skim). Maybe it's the mug itself. Dunno, it's just making me sad. Someone suggested it may be because the machine is brand new and I should just let it settle a bit but I don't remember my last machine making horrible lattes right off the bat.

My left bottom wisdom tooth hurts. I'm having flashbacks to 2014 when my right bottom wisdom tooth destroyed the molar next to it and I had to have a root canal and a crown put in on the surviving tooth. Probably need to see my dentist ASAP but they generally don't make appointments for less than 2-3 months out so we'll see. Two things that definitely don't help - I'm still considered a temp at my current job so I don't have dental insurance at the moment and also my current employer is severely anal about attendance so making appointments is difficult.
