The only one that I know of is in Palo Alto but I haven't eaten at it yet. I won't support the Wahlberg family after what Mark said about people who live in apartments

I kinda wanted to try one in Minnesota but didn't get the chance, I'll have to try it when I go back in October for Surf the Murph.

Doesn't look like my main employer is onboard with that M-T 8-1 job so I'll have to keep looking for a new PRN position.

Starbucks BOGO from 12-6 today! Also any size fry w/purchase at Wendy’s.

I’ll be making the trek out to B&N today for the start of the Criterion sale. I also think I’m gonna get some kung pao chicken as it’s been a while.

Fingers crossed they’ll license it out to Criterion.

It's part of a 1999 and Nicole Kidman festival at The Belcourt. Tomorrow, they are showing The Others with a Q&A afterward with Nicole Kidman. My oldest sister is going to that. Nicole lives here from what I understand. This isn't the first time they've done something like this. I believe it was last year that they screened The Cable Guy in 35mm. They are always doing things like this. Love that theater. Also, the best popcorn around aside from the kettle corn option in Palm Springs.

It’s no secret that I love pickles. This place on Long Island made a pickle sammich!

Here a TikTok vid/review which you’ll probably have to unmute.

What’s the name of the delicatessen? I’ll buy a sammich from there for lunch tomorrow.

This way, I don’t have to buy lunch at the food court at Roosevelt Field, which is too expensive. The Little Beet and Soupman 1984 Delicatessen And Grille are especially pricey, as they’re fresh rather than fast food like the rest of the food court.

OoO it would be great to have BluRayTim to give us a hands on review!

They’re in Oceanside, so not too far away from Garden City.

But Oceanside is about 45 minutes southwest of Farmingdale. And Garden City is about half an hour west of Farmingdale and about half an hour north of Oceanside.

Went to another place for coffee today. Checked my Starbucks app too late. C'est la vie.

I haven't seen Risky Business in ages.

Nope. Pickles, whilst good in their condiment role, are no substitution for bread. Stay in your lane, pickles.

Ah ok. I just plugged in the deli from garden city/Roosevelt Field since you mentioned going there to eat in the food court. GPS is saying less than 7 miles but yeah Farmingdale is further away.

I got my Kung Pao today along with the Starbucks BOGO & Wendy’s fry deal. The Kung Pao was pretty good and they even put in mushrooms.

I've been back with the USPS since August of 2022. I was with them for 10 years in my first act and now I'm working on my second act. Unfortunately, I had to start all over as a PSE clerk but I am getting converted to a FTR (Full-time regular) today. Yaaaay. The main benefits are two days off and a guaranteed 40 hours per week. I've been working six days a week for less than 40 hours pretty regularly since I got hired. I might have had a handful of weeks where I only worked five days.

I'm starting my new job tonight so I'll be switching from a 4am-12:30pm (at latest) schedule to a 10pm-6:30am shift. I'm going to try and keep taking the bus to work so I'll have to figure out what the schedule will be and I have to figure out my sleep schedule. Right now the plan is to try and get at least seven hours before the start of the shift as opposed to going to sleep when I get off.

Having two days off is going to be great and I'll be at our main distribution plant in San Jose and I believe every clerk position there has two days off together. At the stations, because we're closed on Sundays, you'll often have split days off so Sunday and one other day during the week.

I like this schedule because I'm thinking I can get off at 6:30am, get home and get cleaned up and then hit the road to the mountains when I want to leave town. The downside is I'm not a fan of getting off work and then having to be back the same day. I guess that's just perspective though because it's the same 15.5 hours between shifts.

Thanks a lot russ. It's a shame I left the post office in the first place but life took me other places so I just gotta roll with it.

When you're at Roosevelt Field, take a walk around the parking lot and you will likely come across a lot of vanity license plates that mysteriously match user names on here. BluRayTim has messaged many members here about this phenomenon; whether they're members from across the country or another country, somehow their usernames are found in the Roosevelt Field parking lot. Amazing.

That IS amazing! Unfortunately I do not have a vanity plate but I’ll be sure to keep a look out the next time I’m in the area. I may need to take one for the team and make a trek over to that deli.

Whoa...what's with the hostility man? I'm just fascinated is all by your discoveries as a fellow Long Islander. What are you suggesting? Did you make it all up? Would you like to clear the air for everyone?
