Whatttt! You’re in California. There should be a Starbucks on every other block like NYC.

And the Caramel Ribbon Crunch Frapp is solid!

lol right but I'm up in the mountains right now. I just did a Google search and I think the three listings that I saw were all in my hometown and apparently that's 128 miles away. I'm broke anyway so I guess it's for the better. I spent $65 in gas and I'm hoping that I don't have to get anymore on my way back to San Jose.

I'm in CA too and there are Starbucks all over near me. Found this with a quick search.

"The state and territory with the most number of Starbucks locations in the US is California, with 3,117 stores, which is about 19% of all Starbucks stores in the US."

The wildlife that I've seen the most of out here has definitely been bugs and flies. Feeeecking hell!!!!!! I did see a cute marmot today but I've seen way more flies and they are annoying as can be.

Also, I'm down for one of these to just magically appear in my parking space

Thanks sf. This will be my first time spending three days up here. Went into Yosemite today. Might post a few pics shortly in the "Doing Now" thread.

In my car in a campground. I might get a tent eventually but I never make it up for more than a couple days so not sure I really need one. But it would be nice to kick back inside the tent when I'm not out enjoying the scenery. Did a pretty good ride into Yosemite today. Vehicles needed reservations which I didn't have but the park was open to hikers and cyclists so I cruised through after showing my pass.

You definitely need a tent! I just bought one of these last month.

That looks good and it's a great price. Have you used it since you bought it? I don't come up to the mountains that often but there has to be places to camp in the Bay Area. Admittedly, I've never sent up a tent before
As for the pass, it's that free lifetime pass for Veterans that I got last August.

For the money it’s pretty decent. They also have a 3-person. Yeah I’ve used it a few times. I’ll take a picture of it tomorrow. They’re super easy to set up.

I thought the National Parks were all free.

Well all of the National Parks are free with the pass but if you don't have a pass, I would imagine all of the parks have their own admission fee. I believe it's $35 for Yosemite.

Gettysburg & Valley Forge are both free. I guess it all depends.

Gettysburg is free to everyone? I've been there twice, once with my mom and once with dad, and while I can't remember if we paid, I would have guessed that we did.
Just a quick Google search shows that while the museum and a couple of other attractions do cost, the battlefield itself is free. That's awesome!

Yeah the battlefield is open from sunrise to sunset at no charge. It’s pretty remarkable to walk around and take it all in especially Little Round Top & Devil’s Den. The museum along with a few other exhibits cost extra. Perhaps your pass will give you discounted access to the other areas within the visitors center.

I cried after I crossed Little Round Top. It's amazing how close we were on that day to a completely different outcome to the war.

Only in Los Angeles (technically not LA, it's in Ontario which is part of the Inland Empire) will you see a road rage incident with what seems like dash cams, security cams, and a close-up shot from a smartphone camera of a road rager dressed in a luxury Guess t-shirt pull out a knife to stab someone in a car, only to be nearly run over as he runs away from the scene:
