I'm pretty sure I'm older than you and I can clearly remember cell phones and pagers. Heck, my dad had a cell phone in his car. Those things were all the rage back in the 80's.
I'm pretty damn old as far as this website goes. lol

And while there was bag phones back in the mid to late 80's, the only people who had them were upper middle class and above.

It wasn't until the early to mid 90's when Motorola released the infamous flip phone. Now that one was widely adopted but not even close to the amount of people using them today. I had that flip phone, my first couple bills were almost 300 dollars per month due to roaming charges, roaming charges boy do i not miss those....

No worries. I feel like it’s a gimmick for the most part (although a very cool one). It’s just a digital meter resembling their iconic blue meter amps. Jeep people love their brand. I’m sure more than half of new owners don’t even know about McIntosh. Although I’ve no doubt there are Mc fanboys who will buy a Jeep now just to stare at those blue meters all day.

McIntosh came out with a “light box” a few years ago. It does nothing more than light up with the logo. It sold out at $1500.

You can also download their app for free and have those blue meters bouncing around to your tunes.

There was no '80's rage of mobile action.

I didn't even see a bag phone in person until around the early '90s, when I was dating a rich chick whose family had one. And, outside of the occasional film or tv show, that was the only time I saw one, period.

I wanted to buy one of those light boxes. But it had divorce written all over it.

I have the Mc music app. Listening to something now in honor of the movie coming out in 4K UHD.🤘 Now I need to figure out what we're doing for lunch.

Haha! What does it do? “It lights up…” you would never hear the end of it.

I’m back at KFC for their $2.60ish sammich!

I think Starbucks is giving out a free straw today.

You could by a comparable chicken sammich at Whole Foods for a couple or few dollars more and it’s much better for you. Being that your near Philadelphia, there’s at least one Whole Foods close by.

But look, honey. Isn't that the prettiest light you've ever seen?

I went with tuna on sourdough today. A crispy chicken sammich does sound good.

Yeah, definitely don't need a free straw. Just another thing to collect dust in the junk utility drawer. I like Starbucks cold brew. But their iced Americano is lacking. Always need to add an extra shot and it's just ok, but not great. This other place I go to has the best iced Americano. No need to add anything except half n half. As the mighty Crue of Motley once said, that'll kickstart your heart.

Yeah the straw is a bit silly. Those red cups they give away during Christmas also suck as well. Not worth waiting forever in line for one.

Yup! It was 94 yesterday and I’m driving down the road and some idiot is wearing a mask walking on the sidewalk. I just do not understand their logic. The best ones = people driving alone in their car.

Some people wear masks outdoors for for protection against pollen/allergens etc. and it can be particularly important for people with asthma or immunodeficient people. This was a thing in Asian countries (like Japan) before COVID. I don't wear a mask anymore because I don't feel I need one, but I don't think it's fair to judge people when we don't know the circumstances behind why they wear it.

I see where you are coming from and where you are going with that, but it's also rather stupid. If the point of wearing the mask is to prevent you from getting sick, catching something, or worse dying then good luck Chuck. Every time you walk out your door you are basically taking that very risk that anything could happen to you. Living in fear is not a good way to live. Masks won't help you much anyway. As to those with Asthma, wearing a mask outside in the heat will make things worse. They'll get too hot, begin to fatigue, and start up an asthma attack. It's lunacy and people know it.

I have one of those.....however, I only had a very small sense of security when I walked upon one from about 50 yards away. We stared at each other for a split second, then I looked away and kept still. Luckily, no cubs were in sight and he wandered off.

I hate those ads. Thankfully I have a DVR but when you’re live…
