The self-hugging variety maybe.

The next UHD club thread above 400+ is the 1,000+ titles club. You'll be there among that elite bunch in no time.

I don't normally do fajitas. I'd end up having them hold a lot of the ingredients I think but my interest has been pico de galloed

I just booked a bus ticket and admission to Six Flags theme park for August 30th. I love theme parks but I'm getting old so this may be one of my final opportunities to visit one and get on the rides before my body starts breaking down for good. I never thought this was something I ever had to worry about until my late 40's lol. It sucks. The older I get, the more of a bad idea getting on scary rides becomes. I'm already having serious back issues and had an episode of vertigo a few years ago that scared the crap out of me. I hope I make it out of the park in one piece

I've lost the desire to go to theme parks. The only reason I would go now would be to take one of the grandkids and enjoy it through their perception. Fortunately I don't have any health issues but thrill rides are no longer thrilling to me.

The parks are mostly for the young 'uns but I still find some of the rides thrilling. The thrill is short lived but that was always the case anyway. There's one particular ride I'm dying to try and that's the Freefall. That one's relatively safe as far as getting knocked around. I usually now avoid the stronger rides for my own safety. In a few years I won't be able to walk to the gate, let alone get on a ride. It's now or never

I can't stand the long lines.....and not exactly thrilled to spend even more money for the faster option (if there is one.) Guess this is why I have never been to Disney World or Disneyland.....refused to take my kids to that commercialized, money-grabbing black hole.

I was curious about the Flash Pass so I looked and suffered some serious sticker shock - they want $600! that’s insane. Yeah, the lines are too long, which is why I chose to go at the very end of August when most kids are getting ready to go back to school and the park may be a little less crowded

DAMN!!! My oldest sister is 53 and she still rides the rides. Her health may be better than yours, but it's not without faults. Her feet were so bad she had to have surgery on one of them back in 2020 or so and was struggling to walk through the parks the first time we went back after Covid. She still did it. She won't quit going until she is bedridden probably.

Thrill rides never thrilled or excited me. In fact, I hate them. However, I love going to Disneyland and Disney World. It's just so much fun.

The parks are MOST DEFINITELY not for young ones mostly. My oldest sister and I go to the parks regularly. We're in our 50's and we love it more than we EVER did as kids. I think it's something that anyone can enjoy. As long you have the right mindset.

Disney World and Disneyland are not money-grabbing black holes. If you know what you are doing it should not cost much. And certainly not an arm and a leg. Going to Disneyland, in fact, is super easy to afford. There are hotels 15 minutes from the park that are SUPER reasonable. And the park itself is quite inexpensive. My oldest sister and I go there annually. So, it's not a money-grabbing black hole. If you look at it that way so is the whole home theater/collecting. Anything you enjoy doing can be seen as a money-grabbing black hole. Again, it's all in the mindset.

I'm very glad to hear you confirm that 50 is NOT too old to enjoy the rides at theme parks I was kinda hoping for some validation from someone

I'm 50 but I think I'm still in fairly good shape to withstand some of the stronger attractions. I have back issues so my fear is suffering some kind of injury from being knocked around on a ride that may exacerbate my Degenerative Disc Disease. I also want to STRONGLY avoid anything that might trigger another Vertigo episode lol. There's just no telling what may become problematic for me but I can't let that stop me from enjoying a day at the park. I'm also not a skinny guy so weight also factors into the skittishness.

Anyone else above 50 that still enjoys thrill rides? Please share your story.

I'm not skinny by any means, either. Though, I am losing weight and have shrunk down some. I think it's all about one's attitude. You can go into things positively and get the most out of it. Or you can go into things negatively and get nothing out of it. I try to do the former, but sometimes my brain doesn't always let me. But I will tell you this. There is nothing like a week at Walt Disney World to help one deal with the loss of someone who recently passed. Know this from experience.

Well…look like it’s official: Jennifer Lopez files for divorce from Ben Affleck. No surprise there.
