Well, it turned out to be a great choice to get pizza. I helped the owner with a delivery to Santa Clara University. We went together to do a quick drop-off and I got my pizza and soda for free. And then when I got back home, I found two more sheets of BK coupons that I had received in the mail

I’m in a bit of a mental health crisis. The last 2 months have been hell for me. I’ve been off all my meds this whole time with the national Adderall shortage and it’s giving me all kinds of withdrawal symptoms. First I’ve had trouble staying awake, showing up an hour late for work twice, missing workouts on my days off from work and creating scheduling conflicts from passing out and now I’m starting to feel depressed. Watching movies/TV and gaming isn’t giving me the same joy it once did and when I went to the mall yesterday for some outgoing escapism, I found myself having anxiety around people there without my Dopamine rush. It never used to hit me so hard when I was on my Adderall.

It’s gotten to the point where I legitimately don’t know what to do with my life. I’ve felt myself increasingly in cognitive decline with every passing day sans Adderall (and my sleeping meds which actually treat depression that I can’t take without it or I’d feel even more tired and groggier). Every time I’ve tried to keep my mind busy, depression would eventually and randomly hit me. Just the other day, I was crying myself sick while eating my Subway.

How is 7-11 for coffee and different flavors of syrups you can add? I think the only time I've had coffee as an adult has been at a gas station and it was an Arco AMPM and they had a good selection. With my sore throat, I think I might get one before work as there is a 7-11 close by. Tonight would have been my holiday but I signed up for work so time to go get that money. Will rest and eat like a king tomorrow

Food, sex, films, documentaries, interviews, music, economy, family, people, rain, wildlife, ... some among the few things on my mind today.

* Some flicks of recent times ...

'A Man Called Otto' ... good flick.

'Leave the World Behind' ... good flick.

'The Outfit' ... good flick.

I am very saddened that you have to go through all of this. I did not know that there was an Adderall shortage; I hope that the supply is restored ASAP.

Thinking about something you civvies will never know; how cool it is to hear a Drill Instructor walking down the hall of a barracks in Boot Camp while calling marching cadence. They’re not calling it for themself but either practicing it or just doing it because it sounds ****ing awesome. It might be even be to **** with recruits because we know the big bad wolf is coming but it’s an awesome sound.

And speaking of cadence, there’s three types. Marching cadence that I only recall hearing in Boot Camp. We call it drill when one of our Drill Instructors march us around. Calling drill keeps the platoon in step. Every recruit will be on the same foot at the same time.

Running cadence is the I don’t know but I’ve been told…

And then there’s humping cadence. That’s cadence that’s called while we’re out humping the hills of Camp Pendleton. sfmarine doesn’t know nothing about humpin no big ass hills

But so there’s running cadences you’ll often hear. There can only be so many I suppose. In most cases, the cadence caller will be outside the formation and the group will repeat what he or she says. In this one, the group doesn’t repeat. Their reply will be in parentheses.
What’s the sound of a Devil Dog? (Arooh, arooh)
Repeat
What’s that runnin down your back? (juice, juice)

So it’s a short, simple cadence. The thing is I never knew how one would spell the grunt sound the platoon makes after the first part. The closest sound I’ve ever heard is in that awesome 300 scene when the guy meets Leonidas heading to battle and is dismayed at his contribution of a measly 300 men. Leonidas begins to question individuals in the other army about their profession. “I was a potter sir”. “A blacksmith” another might reply.
Spartans! What is your profession?!
Arooh, arooh, arooh!! That is the exact sound we use in the cadence and it’s a simple expression that only Marines and Spartans have earned the right to grunt

3rd Battalion Lima, Co. Our Heavy was the only DI with a CAR and was just back from the sandbox. He would run around the squad bay yelling PINK MIST!

Just looked him up. He made it a career which doesn’t surprise me and is retired now. Made it to SgtMaj.

Thinking about all the metrics that go into being an Amazon DSP driver. Guessing if I get good enough at everything else I can average 25 stops per hour indefinitely and be golden!

OK. If you do become a delivery driver, remember to actually deliver the packages. LOL.

Where I am, they lazily skip coming and then say a delivery was attempted. BS. I always stay in, sometimes for hours. So if they text me saying a delivery failed, that's a lie. But Sitejabber has numerous complaints.

I'm talking about DPD mainly. Amazon couriers are usually reliable.

So the priest who married Harry & Meghan and coronated King Charles III, resigned over a pedophile scandal.

Talk about creepy AF!

I like to think I'm reliable. I take every delivery personally and I try to deliver in the manner the customer wants.
